Please authenticate 2 bags. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Item: Vintage COACH Satchel 1980
Listing: 123650946702
Seller: kirstens18_2008

Comment: Burgundy satchel. Should the uneven leather at the bottom of the bag be a concern for authenticity? Any info please - name, date, etc
It's fine. The seller is correct about the date. It could have been made anytime between 1977 and 1983, but I think it is more likely in the early 80s. You didn't provide any measurements that we need to ID vintage bags, but it looks like it could be a slim satchel compact based on the shape.

It looks good. It was made in 2012, as shown in the creed.

Sorry I missed that - it measures approx 13 x 7 x 2.5

It's a genuine Small Duffle Sac. IIRC they all came with metal hangtags. The one in the photos looks like it's original.

It's authentic but not Soho because it doesn't have the horseshoe buckles. (Yep, a lot of listings describe it as soho but that doesn't mean that it is soho.)

It looks like the small duffle sac (lower left) but page doesn't open so I can't see if it's the same style number.

I just realized that the Small Duffle Sac has a different type of strap. It has a two thin rolled straps and clips and my bag has a thick strap that buckles and tapers at the squared ends.

It's more like a smaller version of this bag, but I don't know what this is called either!

The small duffle sac didn't have thin rolled straps and clips. It just looks like that in the screenshot because you're seeing the edges of the strap. Here is the page from the Wayback.

ETA: 9151 was just called duffle sac.

Good evening, I have doubts about authenticity of the following two bags:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/323717457543
Seller: weeney11

Authenticators' comments will be appreciated!

I agree, they both look fake.
I missed the the weeney11 listing that you'd asked about but I found a cache of it and it appeared to be black.

It looks like she also had this identical brown one that was sold for $30.

Hi! If you could please authenticate this, that would be amazing!

Also, this item would have still used brass hardware (considering the production date and location)?

If anyone happens to know if the leather on bags from 2001 produced in China was still high-quality, that would be useful additional info. (My only other vintage Coach, so my only comparison, is a Court from 1998 produced in the United States.)

If the bag is genuine then they still would have used brass hardware with that shade of red, and the bag is genuine. As for the leather, my personal opinion is that I prefer the older non-China leathers but that's my own opinion. There's nothing actually wrong with the China leathers, they're just not quite on the same level as the US, Italian and Costa Rican ones. I've owned both.
