I contacted the seller and was told
Hi, This is the right serial # and this bag is 100% authentic. I have been selling Coach for over 15 years and know their product inside and out. This was from a very limited edition with the beautiful legacy rainbow lining. It was from the spectator edition. Mine is the only one listed and Coach re-used this number which they have done.
Unless Seller seeds208 is willing and able to photograph the serial number, I say to avoid!
I can't believe that such a "reputable" seller wouldn't do the right thing.

And just so you (and possibly seeds208) know, there are many current (and NARU) sellers who have sold for years and supposedly "know" their product inside and out but have sold fakes!

ETA: Oh, and BTW, sellers DO make mistakes!

Here's just one recent mistake:
First request where link wasn't posted:
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...ost-for-format.889527/page-2319#post-32922018

Then the followup when more info was requested: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...ost-for-format.889527/page-2320#post-32924509

And as Hyacinth pointed out, the seller had copied the style number wrong:
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...ost-for-format.889527/page-2321#post-32924798

Even honest sellers can make mistakes!

ETA #2: Here's another recent example of a seller error. Seller denied a mistake (see post #7 for a similar snarky response from that seller) and when pressed, finally figured out the issue:

Thanks BeenBurned. Auction ended with no sale. I'll watch for a repost. If I can't get a pic of the Creed I'll have to pass it up.

Just one comment about the seller's claim that "Mine is the only one listed and Coach re-used this number which they have done".

I have a serious problem with the seller's statement. Coach may have rarely used a style number twice, but all the instances I've seen (maybe 5 or 6 times not counting those bogus "serial numbers" with invalid prefixes that they began using in the last 5 years or so for some of the 1941 line and a few others) have been re-using a style number from a much older style which had probably been made before Coach began keeping accurate records of their serial and style numbers on computer. I've never seen a recent style where the number was duplicated within the next half-dozen years and was part of a VALID (meaning NOT pulled out of someone's butt) serial number A Search of tPF's forums for Coach 12520 doesn't bring up any posts about that number in any style except an Ergo Patent Framed Satchel either. If that was a legit style number for that bag especially with a Legacy lining it seems hard to believe that one of our forum members never found an example.

Not only do I question the seller's claim, but I would advise not buying from ANY seller who flat-out refuses to show a photo of the creed. As BeenBurned says, self-labeled selling "experts" have not only made mistakes, but we've even known a few who had impeccable selling records until they turned to the Dark Side and started to KNOWINGLY sell fakes.

ETA - The seller calls the bag an Addison Spectator and I've found a few other bags with that style NAME but with a 13206 style number, a solid-color lining, and a creed with silver stamped script. The bag being questioned here does NOT have any silver script stamping on the creed, it looks like just the standard font in what little I can see in the seller's " SEEDS208 " photo - here's the best enlargement I can get:
SEEDS208_claimed 12520 like 13206-feb20 2019-a.jpg

Here's an example of style 13206:

To add to what I mentioned earlier, based on the style number, the Addison Spectator 13206 was made close to the same time as the # 12520 Ergo Patent Satchel and Coach it doesn't seem possible that Coach would have re-used a style number from a VERY popular style (there are 5 pages of posts here just about the 12520 Ergo Patent!) that possibly was still in the stores or at least the outlets.

seeds208 's bag isn't the same style as 13206.

The correct style number is NOT the one seeds208 gave you. It's 12979.

I will send you a PM, @DS Novak.

Hi authenticators,
Please authenticate this bag.
It has no creed patch and style number. It says made in the Philippines.
It has satin lining.
Thank you.
Hi authenticators,
Please authenticate the crossbody bag that I uploaded in thread 2321 #34813. I am happy to upload more photos if needed.
Thanks.
Was the bag purchased online? Is there a link to where you bought it?

Thanks.

FYI, the seller is nanushe54 , who has sold a few fakes. I’m going to be asking about another bag this seller has listed shortly.
