I'm not sure why you think there's a problem?

Coach has changed stamping details many times over the years. You should ONLY compare stamps from the same plant, month and year and for similar styles. The stamping on that bag dates back to the early 1990s and is perfectly correct for that bag. It's genuine.

I'm not sure what you're comparing it to, all the photos of the pink bag in your photos look like they're the same bag. BTW, there have been quite a few styles where Coach changed details like whether or not there was a zipper on the inside pocket.

If you think this is actually a Small Tote style 9685, why would you think that? The actual Small Tote 9685 was made in the early 1980s and according to my catalogs had been discontinued by 1985. The bag in the photos posted above was CLEARLY made after 1987, read the Salearea Guides on Creeds and on Serial numbers. IT'S ACTUALLY THE RETRO DINKY SHOPPING BAG, STYLE 9001, FROM THE 1991 ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION.

You're not comparing apples and apples.

Thank you! Yes, I was thinking Small Tote and I definitely need to re-read those guides. Guilty as charged. The pink bag pics are the same bag, just threw in one to compare to red, since the Small Tote came in red not pink.

You're right. They are both fake. The P plant code was never used for the US, and NT is not a valid prefix. NT-4903 is on the fakes list. There is nothing right about that bag. The leather looks terrible. Goodwill has a no fakes policy. Be insistent about getting a full refund, including shipping.

I'm seeing 3 bags in that post and all are fake. (#2 and #3 both have NT serial numbers.)

And the Retro Dinky Shopping Bag came in Coral Pink which is the color on that bag.

Remember, Coach re-made or brought back a LOT of older styles, and they're still doing it. Don't expect originals and re-makes to be exactly the same. Apples and apples.

There are missing pictures. See post 1, page 1 for the pictures that are needed, paying particular attention to the part boldfaced text above the red. The bag you're looking at doesn't have a "serial number" that indicates the actual style of the bag.
