Those aren't the pictures I'd asked for but I think it's okay.

The picture of the underside of the flap that I'd requested is shown in picture #4 in this listing from another seller.
The "made in" label is sewn inside the bag into the lining seams. It looks like this:

I understand the need (and desire) to find treasures online. Sometimes you can get an otherwise impossible-to-find item or sometimes you can save a few bucks over buying from a department store.

My point is that you want to buy from sellers who are willing to take the time to do the work when they list items. You want sellers who write their own descriptions and take their own pictures so you can see what you'll get.

Again, in this case, I believe you did fine, but personally, I wouldn't buy from treschic2k.
Thank you for your valuable sharing of knowledge! I would definitely follow your advice next time I buy purses. Sorry for the inaccurate pictures though. I have also putted some new ones for your interest. Have a good holiday! You guys are really amazing!parker15.jpg parker16.jpg parker17.jpg

7A06AC4F-9E90-4D39-8831-9ADE8CCD67DA.jpeg Hello! This is my first time and I have what I believe is a coach bag but don’t know much about it and I’m looking for some information. I purchased this thinking it was a laptop case at an estate sale until I seen the hang tag and realized it pre dated laptops. I only paid 2.00 for it and was wondering if anyone can help tell me exactly what it is and if it is actually Coach.9F2F85E4-10AC-4000-AA54-AF2386830815.jpeg 5D489837-BC89-47E6-B440-2CDB2093498B.jpeg7F44DDA7-CF64-4904-BCA0-7AEF2B60B63B.jpeg

Wow, what a great find! I've been collecting vintage Coach for a really long time and have never come across one of those baseball hangtags. Not only that, it looks to be in fantastic condition. Are there any Coach tags or labels besides that hangtag? The problem I'm seeing is that the tag is removable and if there aren't any Coach markings on the item itself, it would be difficult to prove it was actually made by Coach. That said, I think the construction and leather looks like something Coach may have made very early on, possibly in the 50s or early 60s. It would have been called a portfolio and used to carry papers and files.

More opinions are welcome.

Thank You! Unfortunately there are no other markings.

Wow! Thank You for all the info. I’ve looked inside and there are no more markings. To me It looks original to the hang tag.

It's a wonderful find! The baseball hang tag alone is worth many times what you paid. Congratulations!

You're welcome. I'm fairly sure the portfolio is authentic and came with the hangtag. I was just saying that it is impossible to prove. You might want to contact Coach's archivist to see if he has any more information.

Posting again with more photos. Apologies for the rushed previous post - I ended up purchasing it anyway as it was $12.99 with 50% off at GW. Please let me know if I may have missed anything else you need.
