Thank you and be safe!

Hello, Could you please authenticate this bag for me?
I bought this parker with cut out tea rose on ebay. Here are some pictures of it. The style number is 25160. The zipper is YKK which is comforting. But I am not very sure about the stitches. They seem to have different sizes? Could you tell if it is authentic? Thank you very much !!parker1.jpg parker2.jpg parker3.jpg parker4.jpg parker5.jpg parker6.jpg parker7.jpg parker8.jpg parker9.jpg

I don't authenticate newer styles so please wait for a more qualified authenticator, but have to chime in on a subject that has caused huge problems for Coach buyers and sellers for several decades.

THE BRAND STAMPED ON A ZIPPER HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH WHETHER OR NOT IT'S AUTHENTIC. A zipper stamped YKK doesn't prove a bloody thing.

I'm not qualified to authenticate this either, but I want to point out that you need to post the information we require, including a link to the listing and the seller's ID.

Welcome to TPF.

I have several comments.
1. Zipper brand is irrelevant. Coach has used multiple brands of zippers in its items. While some items do have YKK zippers, 99% of fakes have zippers that say YKK. NOT ALL COACH ITEMS HAVE YKK.
2. Please refer to post 1, page 1 for the information we need, including a link to the listing from which you purchased as well as the seller's ID.
3. More pictures are needed to authenticate but if the listing shows enough of the right pictures, you won't need to post them.

Thank you for your comment! I learned the zipper thing from Youtube.... guess not reliable.

After seeing both the pictures you posted of the bag you received combined with those in the listing, I do believe that the bag you received is authentic. However I'd like to see a couple more pictures.

Please post a picture of the underside of the top flap and both sides of the made in tag.

BUT.......
Part of the reason we need the seller and listing information is because seeing the actual listing, pictures and the seller's other listings, we can get an opinion on not only the item in question but the seller.

In this case, several (if not all?) of the pictures in the listing are not the seller's own pictures, are not the actual item and at least some pictures were stolen from other sources. Additionally, the pictures in the listing aren't adequate for the seller to prove authenticity nor are adequate for authenticators to judge it. And with such "well-faked" and highly faked styles, her own pictures of the details are absolutely necessary.

And in looking at this listing and the seller's other listings, I'm not sure any of her pictures are her own. With different backgrounds, different photographing styles, pictures found on other websites, etc., a seller is going to have issues should buyers file claims. I can't tell which (if any) images in her listings are her own!

Had you come here prior to purchasing, I probably would have recommended finding a different seller who shows her own pictures and does her own work.

Thank you so much for your comment! I have added those pictures as required. Actually the reason why I bought this from the ebay is that it has gone out of stock everywhere else. But thank you for your suggestion. Next time I buy bag from uncertain sources I will ask for advice first! parker10.jpg parker11.jpg parker12.jpg parker13.jpg View attachment 4285785

Those aren't the pictures I'd asked for but I think it's okay.

The picture of the underside of the flap that I'd requested is shown in picture #4 in this listing from another seller.
The "made in" label is sewn inside the bag into the lining seams. It looks like this:

I understand the need (and desire) to find treasures online. Sometimes you can get an otherwise impossible-to-find item or sometimes you can save a few bucks over buying from a department store.

My point is that you want to buy from sellers who are willing to take the time to do the work when they list items. You want sellers who write their own descriptions and take their own pictures so you can see what you'll get.

Again, in this case, I believe you did fine, but personally, I wouldn't buy from treschic2k.

Good afternoon all. First time poster, long time reader. I can usually find my questions answered by searching... but I came across something that I can't really figure out any information about it.

I saw this bag at a thrift store, took photos of it but did not buy it. Stupidly, I did not measure it, but my estimation is that it is maybe 10" L x 8" H. The flap is stiff.

I just wanted to know if anyone could authenticate/give any information. Thank you so much.

It's authentic. It's part of the Manhattan collection, made around 1993. It's probably the Museum bag #4127.
