Hi all,
I was in the market for an hermes belt and thought to look in the preloved area first. Since, I'll only be wearing it during special events when I have to wear a dress (to cinch my waist :D ). So I found this H belt that I liked
https://us.vestiairecollective.com/...rmes/pink-leather-h-hermes-belt-6319489.shtml
However when I was searching for similar belts I found this:
http://m.shopreplicas.cn/Replica/Hermes-13mm-leather-strap-in-Swift-Epsom-calfskin-H065538CAAS.html

now I'm concerned this belt I wanted might be a fake. If anyone could put their input or point me to an authenticator, it would be greatly appreciated.

Is this one of the ones where the 'c's dont match up? I thought that was the Lynn op art linen bags (which is my favorite pattern but dont want the purses)

That's just one of the lines where the Cs don't match up. There are probably between 6 and 12 LINES, not just styles, where the Cs won't be mirror images as well as several individual styles where the front, back or both C patterns don't follow that so-called "rule" either. The Sig Optic items are just one of the largest groups of rule-breakers.

Never assume something's fake or report an item as fake based only on misaligned Cs unless you check here first and we confirm it.

So far I'm not happy with what I'm seeing. Just for starters the strap either has been cut down or replaced since there's no visible adjustment buckle, and the creed logo looks off. The serial number prefix is unreadable, and the gaps between some creed words are huge..

Is there any way you can use the "light powder trick:" to bring out the creed and serial number stamp? We really need to see the plant and year codes. The year looks like 1995 but I can't read the plant code.

Adding as I go through my files:

The creed stamping seems identical to these 2 confirmed fakes with 1994 and 1995 year codes, note the too-large and wide border around the Coach name and the creed spacing in the fourth line:

1994_D-plant-FAKE-H4D-9085-green-c.jpg

1995_B-plant-QUEST-F5B-5181-d.jpg

Still looking but I'm pretty sure it's fake, the creed stamp and logo just aren't right.

I blew up this photo. Hopefully this will work

The black bag isn't a problem, it looks like a genuine Sheridan Glenwood 4225 made in 1994. It's the "Willis" that's a problem.
