Thank you and be safe!

There are other problems too.

As you noticed, the "serial number" is invalid. The patterns and pattern placement are wrong, the lining is the incorrect fabric, the straps, anchors and hardware are wrong. The bag your bag is trying to copy didn't come in a tote style. (Afaik, the closest is a carly.)

There's really not a lot that's right.

This listing is for an authentic version of the Carly style in the pattern that your fake copies. Compare the pattern, the lining, the hardwawre, the stitching, the creed and stamping.

Thank you both so very very much!!! I've been reading up on how to tell a fake. And all the things both of you pointed out...I looked at, as I read and held the bag. Boy what an embarrassment!! Should have known when I spent a whole dollar on it.
No I'm no expert, I'm very happy you all are!!
I did buy another Coach bag and a Louis Vuitton at yard sales in the last month to find both were genuine. ( Had to send them away for the authentication and pay $ for such) paid a bit more for them too at yard sales.
I'm so happy to find this forum. Well, hubby found it for me..lol
If any of y'all Live in Jacksonville FL. I owe you a lunch, for authenticating this fake for me!! Beats sending it away!!
Thank you again!!! I'll be back!! Hee hee!!

I'm curious where you sent Coach and LV away for authentications. Most bags of both brands are authenticatable (sp?) through good, clear and correct pictures.

I know there are some later series Chanel bags that need to be inspected in person because some of the fakes are so "good" but I've never EVER heard of it with Coach.

Hi and welcome  Don’t feel embarrassed. We all started somewhere. I keep fake bag I spent 5 bucks on with my bags to remind not to get over eager with purchasing and put in the diligence! I have brought my iPad with me to flea markets on occasion for possible authentification here on the fly! Hope you are checking out the SaleArea Guides pinned in this forum. An amazing amount of info in there that even volume sellers of Coach miss .

Hello, Can you all tell me if this bag is authentic? I purchased this off of PoshMark and since I have been reading through some of these posts, I am regretting it.

Hello again, did I not post correctly? Did I miss information that you need? Thank you!

Please read post number One again regarding the two small tags that should be inside the bag. There should be one all the way at the bottom of the largest inside pocket, pull the pocket inside out or feel the entire seam around the pocket's circumference carefully, you should be able to see or feel it.

Thank you! Still only finding the one "Made in" tag that I took a picture of. Thank you for your help.
