It's genuine. Saddle wasn't a 1999 color AFAIK, I believe this is Camel.

I'd say Camel too, based on this 1999 catalog page (for a different bag):

Comments: number looks off from the normal station bag Im not sure

There are normal Station Bags but there's no such thing as a normal serial number. What's "normal" depends completely on the month and year the item was made and the exact plant it was made in. Please don't ever base authenticity opinions of one serial number on a different one.

Thanks for the info I was under the impression each bag had a set "code" good to know :)

Comments: I compared the creed font to another J0C and they looked different. The one I compared it to (black) was authenticated on here in 2014. The goodwill one is below.View attachment 4245197 View attachment 4245194
It's awfully close. I think I see an outlet stamp. Here's another example. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Will...=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

The entire right side of the creed is obliterated. Didn't we see a creed in a possibly fake bag with the same issue on the right side recently?

Here's a lightened version of that creed: s-l1600 (1).jpg

This one isn't nearly as bad as the one we saw about a month ago, on that one the border wouldn't have been straight if a line had been drawn connecting the 2 broken ends.

To coin a phrase, I agree with Whateve, it's "too close to call'. ;) But I think it's OK. But the more I look the more I see that worries me. The Coach name in the cartouche isn't centered, and I wish we could see the back of the turnlock too.

never mind

Both the tan and black bags have the same slightly off-center logo and skinny base on the J. It is a puzzlement. But it was also probably the last month of production at the C plant, unless anyone has a valid creed dated after September of 2000. We've seen other examples of Coach not giving a flying feck about plants at the end of their usefullness and how their equipment, stamps and standards were allowed to let slip, the Costa Rica plant being the prime example. So strange things sometimes happened right before a plant shut down.
