Hi!

Could you kindly authenticate this bag? The description says it's mustard yellow, but I don't know if there were any Coach Willis made in that colour.

Thanks!

Item: Vintage Coach Willis 9927 Mustard Yellow EUC Crossbody Messenger

Ugh! Because of ebay's new "improvement," that bag can't be authenticated! Their ad for "similar sponsored items" (that aren't similar) covers the images in the listing!

Why, oh why do they fix what isn't broken?

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have brought a coach bag and I honestly cannot find it anywhere online. I just want to know if it’s genuine coach. Would you be able to look at it and tell me what you think?

Below I have attached some photos, I’m sorry some of them are not the best quality as some of the stamps are small.

Thank you,
Shaunasakura
Welcome. So far, the bag looks okay but I'd like to see a picture of the full front of the bag.

For future requests, please refer to post 1, page 1 for the information we need.

It's authentic. I don't recall seeing a Wills made in mustard yellow, but there were other styles in that color so it is possible. They did make a camel at the time but that had nickel hardware.

WHEW!! It's good to be lucky as a newbie! Thank you! I SHOULD know better, and should likely have passed on that one due to lack of clear pictures. But I was distracted by the pretty silver finish of the leather... Then it arrived in the mail, the creed patch was illegible, and the stitching half undone in the interior slip pockets. And I thought, "WHAT have I done?!?" If it's authentic, it's worth getting the stitching repaired.

Thanks for the info on the year too! Great to know!

Just a heads-up too - Some Coach metallic leathers have a problem with the metallic surface wearing or flaking off with use. It's always important that any metallic-type leather item be examined really closely for problems. If the pictures aren't clear or complete, don't buy. Highest wear areas are usually the bottom corners, top near the zipper, and any outside pocketswith clasp or zipper closings. You also always want to good photo of the back of any light-colored bag to check for color transfer from clothing, especially denim or heavily dyed clothing.

There are very few Coaches that are so rare that anyone would have to take a chance buying a bag with few or no photos showing critical areas. Much better to pass and wait for the next one, because I promise, there WILL be a "next one". The best sellers will always show a full set of photos since Ebay allows them to post up to 12 photos without any fee increase.

I have seen the metallic finish wear in spots, and this bag definitely has the worn areas issue. But I hadn't heard of it actually FLAKING off! Yikes! I'll look out for that in the future! Thanks for the heads up.

I'm the seller on this listing - the bag's color is difficult to capture but it definitely is more mustard/yellow than it is tan/beige.

Darn I missed it ):

I found this bag at Goodwill today, and after some quick research, felt decently confident it's authentic but I'd really appreciate if someone can authenticate for me!

Item name: It looks like City but I believe it's older than the post-1994 9790 versions.
The serial number is a bit hard to read in the photo, but it's 0230-235. The hangtag is the same on both sides.
Dimensions: 11.25" long, 7.5" tall, 3.75" wide

It's a genuine City Bag from the early 1990s.
