Hi all, can anyone verify if this one is real? Coach Poppy, serial K1069-16339.

PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN POST NUMBER ONE OF THIS THREAD. And please be sure to provide all the information and photos that we've listed and require for authentication.

Thank you.

I'm sorry I did reread the rules and I'm not sure what I did wrong? I own it so I don't have any links?
That's fine. In the Coach subforum, we will authenticate items you have in your possession. We just like to know because if an item is listed somewhere, we want to verify that pictures are the seller's own, the seller's history, etc.

The bag is fine.

I agree, it's fake. At that date of manufacture, it should also have the old creed format, with the place at the bottom.

Thanks, I emailed the seller and attached the link with your reply.
I emailed GW Ind of Central Texas before I went to work. They emaied back earlier in the day with a *thank you*. The listing is still up, with an hour yet to go. I listed this in HoS.

Do you have an actual email address or do you contact them through the listing. (I can't contact through the website them without opening an account and I don't want to do that.)

Through the listing. Which they replied to.
It's a pet peeve of mine that I can't contact them without giving my full name, full address, and home phone number! They don't need that from every person who has a question or browses a site!

I could not agree with this post more! I have been indulging my self in great leather bags I could not have afforded 20 years ago. And I have been gifting them as well. When I chat about vintage Coach at retail stores with SAs, they always ask , how do I know I am not buying a fake? And then I tell them about this thread and the women who make it happen.
A sincere thanks from me as well :flowers:. And what am I doing this afternoon that I have off? Dunking a vintage and vintage next year bag!

I’ve managed to buy vintage Coach, D&B n LV bags through the help of our authenticators on TPF too. I just can’t say enough how grateful I feel to be part of TPF membership.

Hello there wondeful ladies...can you please confirm for me that this is a fake before I take to it with scissers and a marker pen. I want to use it to carry firewood next winter...its lined..tough and has a light coloured lining. It will be easy for my mum to carry.20180925_144923.jpg 20180925_144945.jpg 20180925_145009.jpg 20180925_145030.jpg

Is there an interior zippered pocket behind that snap-in pouch? Also, turn the pouch inside out; it might be in there.

From what I'm seeing, I don't think it's fake.

Compare: https://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-Coach-...:hEIAAOSwP79bX5Td:sc:USPSPriority!02452!US!-1

EDITED TO ADD: It's definitely style 77405 and is authentic.
Wow...did not think that...found at Salvation army for NZ$5....
Thank you so much...I would have cut it up if it had been a fake...its not often you find them in my home town.

There is no creed in the pouch. Do some not come with a creed?
There is also no zipper compartment behind the pouch.

No, apparently that item doesn't have a creed and doesn't seem to have a white label with serial/production numbers that Coach used for a while instead of serial numbers on creeds.

With Coach, there are very few constants. Just about every "rule" has exceptions. (The one rule we've never seen exceptions to is the "made in Korea" bag rule. Some clothing and accessories (scarves, etc.) have been made in Korea but they've never made bags there.)

If you do a search of the style number on ebay, you'll see a bunch of them in both current and completed listings.
