Hi authencators,

I seem to have an addiction for the 1941 dark denim. Is this dark denim 1941 Duffle authentic? This time (unlike my *hopefully* real dinky 24) I won’t purchase till I know it’s authentic for sure in advance thanks to you amazing authencators!

I don't authenticate newer styles, but the experts who DO need to see the 2 small (usually white) tags inside the main body of the bags and also deep inside the largest inside pocket. READ POST NUMBER ONE ON THIS THREAD FOR DETAILS
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/authenticate-this-coach-see-first-post-for-format.889527/
and provide the required photos of those tags, examples of which can clearly be seen in many photos that have been posted here in this thread in the last day or two. Ask the seller(s) to provide those photos since the generic serial numbers in both bags don't provide effective information:
Posts 31352 thru 31356 show why that information is so important.
"Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.

Authenticators are not required to answer every request and it is their right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format. "

WE ALSO REQUIRE THE INFORMATION ABOUT WHERE THE ITEMS ARE BEING LISTED AND THE SELLER'S ID.
"This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

  • Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller:
    Link:
    Comment
If the bag in question is not on an auction site, please use the following:

Item Name (if you know it):
Link (if available)"

We require this information for authentications, and we don't recommend buying any bag where the seller hasn't provided a full set of those photos. Thank you!

Updated request for authencators. I had not used the proper format. Thanks! I also requested photos of the small white labels inside and will hopefully update when I get those if needed for verification.

Comments: please verify
It wasn't because you didn't use the requested format that we didn't respond. It's because the pictures in the listing (as well as the pictures you showed of the bag) aren't adequate for authenticating.

Please re-read Hyacinth's post above yours detailing what we need to see as outlined in post 1, page 1 of the thread.

Hi--I found this bag at a yard sale today--Paid $5 for it. Even if it is a fake, I still like it. Can't find much on
it.

FYI, MIZDAZY has a long history of listing fakes.
There are probably more things wrong with the bag but the creed is incorrect for the 1997 C plant and the lining shouldn't be sonoma lining.

Compare MIZDAZY to a couple of other 4177s as well as to authentic bags that were made in the same month/year/plant as her fake claims to have been made:

Authentic K7C creeds:

ETA: This is the same seller and her other ID. If ebay removes the listing above, watch for it to be listed by 57shediac

mizdazy - store name: Mizdazy s excess baggage
57shediac - store name: excessbagsandmore

I think we need to be really cautious about reporting Flatiron styles. Every one in my files seems to have some variation from "normal" even down to creed and serial fonts. Some have Sonoma linings, some plain and some with Coach logos. There doesn't seem to be any consistency but there's an extremely slim chance this one MIGHT be ok although the serial font isn't right. The only other J7*- serials I can find all seem to be from the B plant. I'm giving myself a headache looking at these. As usual, I'd rather be overly cautious when reporting but that's JMO.
Thank you both for your commitment to putting all this info out here!! And sorry for the headache!
