Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

I am the seller of this item. Yesterday I received a message that the buyer would like to return the item under reason "Doesn't seem authentic".

Here is the message from the buyer:
"The bag does not seem real. Plastic details, the embossed inside label looks fake. There is no serial #, thhe C’s don’t touch."

Any confirmation of authenticity would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello! Putting together a set for oldest granddaughter heading out to college based on the Court bag given to me by her grandfather in the late 80's. Can you please authenticate the mini station bag key fob on eBay which I think would be a great addition.

There's nothing wrong with that bag as far as authenticity goes. If the buyer wants to come here and express her concerns, we'll respond. If she's unhappy with the materials Coach used, that's something she'd need to express to Coach since that's the way they made the bag.

1. The script creed is correct.
2. The bag DOES have a "serial number" though for 1994 and on bags, it's not really a serial number but production/style numbers.
3. The Cs not touching is some nonsense that people post on their online "authenticity" guides and is BS. That's the way the Cs are on that bag!
4. Plastic details? I'm not sure what she's referring to.

Again, refer the buyer to this post if she wants confirmation that the bag is 100% authentic.

I wish buyers would contact sellers (or sites like this) to verify their suspicions BEFORE opening disputes.

Even though the bag is authentic and even if the buyer ends the dispute and is comfortable with the authenticity of the item, ebay still dings the seller's account when the seller hasn't done anything wrong!
