Please follow the following requests:

• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

Post the name of the online seller and a link to the listing if it is viewable.
They changed the design of the Mercer at some point so some will have the rings on the outside.

The seller is on instagram, and unfortunately she had deleted the post item that already sold out. So there's no track about it, sorry!
are the pictures not sufficient? and i didn't find the white label tag too in the bag... now i'm worried if it's a fake.

Hi all - I hope this is the right place to write a comment about this. I recently bought a vintage bag from a local vintage store that they were advertising as a Coach bag. I knew nothing about Coach bags at the time other than what they generally kind of looked like. Came home to the internet to find out that you basically definitely need a creed of some sort, which my bag doesn't have. Can I pretty much guarantee that this is not a Coach bag but a Coach "style" bag? Pics attached. As you can see from the third pic, no creed or anything inside. From the information I've been able to find, it looks like all bags after the 70s had a creed, and even before then the ones from the 60s at least had a stamp so I think this must be fake?

I'm sorry that I have NO other information. I've called the store back and I think they may be willing to do an exchange or return if it's fake, but I'm still curious.

Technically it isn't fake since there are no Coach markings. The store was wrong about representing it as a Coach, so they should take the return. You didn't get what you paid for. It wasn't made by Coach. Coach never used hardware like that. It does look similar to a Coach style.

hello, i hope you can help me to authenticate my impulse buying of coach mercer large satchel in grain leather because i heard the mercer would be discontinued.
i bought it from online seller, recommended by my friend. seems it's authentic, the code number on creed same as the style of the bag, but still i'm not sure about it. and i saw the ring handle for crossbody strap is on outside of the bag and not inside as seen on the website pics. maybe because it's from outlet and not retail store?

  • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.

I went thrift store shopping again today and checked the glass case at Goodwill and found about 8 Coach bags. One was a pretty old vintage. This week any purple tags are 50% off and I liked this patchwork Coach handbag and it had a purple tag so I got half off $40.00.
Aprox. 12"x9" with a 5" length strap.
Could I get this bag authenticated? also how would I go about cleaning this bag? I want to wipe it down good with something but not sure what I should use.

You are quoting posts that are 4 years old. We can only authenticate specific bags. Something similar doesn't make it the same. Counterfeiters do copy authentic styles, and often there are only subtle differences that can tell us if it is real or fake.

I'm not familiar with this style either. Sorry. I only have one Mercer 24 in hologram. I didn't even know they made Mercer for outlets. I thought they were boutiques only. I'm obviously proven wrong now.
