  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements

  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

oh @whateve .. just another question, I've been reading some sites on how to spot a fake Coach bag and all of them say that it has to have a 'dash' in the serial number. Is there an exception to mine that it doesn't? thank you again!

All of those so-called "guides" are WRONG. Please stop using them and remove them from your files if you have them saved. We've seen plenty of genuine bags where for one reason or another whoever was advancing the stamping mechanism skipped over the dash.

All the following creeds are from genuine Coaches, and these are just a small sample - Click on the thumbnails to open:
1980s_creed_error1c.jpg 1989-92_9375_Dinky Bag-Outlet.jpg 1990s_early-prob-real 5130-tan-a.jpg 1991_9003-Retro Lindy bag.jpg 1991_Retro Stroll Tote 9004 w Outlet stamp.jpg

And these are just from about the first ten years that Coach was using serial numbers. How many more would you like to see?

PLEASE read the Signature in purple below every one of my posts and take it to heart. And read this for even more information, from this post through to the end of the thread, but ESPECIALLY the sections on so-called "authenticity guides":

Good Morning Authenticators,

I'm not sure about the multicolor letter charm. The only version I've ever seen has just a plain keyring, style 92010, if they made one with the spinner clip I've never seen it. More opinions are welcome.

The others seem OK.
A history and review of my posts regarding my feelings toward poshmark demonstrates why I don't (generally) authenticate listings from there, even when some sellers are honest and sell authentic items.

But I do feel it's necessary to make a couple of comments.

Seller #1 Sarah @taozi -- This is the type of seller who reinforces my opinion of so many sellers on Poshmark as well as the site itself. In the past, I've reported this seller's fakes (mixed with authentic items) and Poshmark does NOTHING.

And in fact, although @Hyacinth commented on her flower keychain, I don't recommend Sarah @taozi. She mixes authentic and fakes.

Fake #1, easily identifyable as such had she done the least bit of research:

Fake #4: This is a fake version of the leather letter (copying 92010)

Sarah @taozi has sold other fakes too and I do NOT recommend that seller.

-----------------------------------------------
Because Hyacinth requested other opinions on the other keychain from Poshmark seller, Katrina @blondables79, I'll state that her 92010 is authentic.

ETA: I believe that the clip was added. AFAIK, Coach didn't make this item as a charm.

I think it's okay. Other opinions are welcome.

(I'm not sure why the creed looks as it does. It appears that she may have washed the bag in the washing machine.)

Can you please authenticate this, the seller said it is from factory outlet. MFF bags. I hope you can help me on thisView attachment 4120310 View attachment 4120312 View attachment 4120313 View attachment 4120314 View attachment 4120301

Please post a link to the listing from which you bought the bag.

https://www.instagram.com/littleambershop

I also have some comparison of what she posted on her IG vs of what i received from herView attachment 4121112 View attachment 4121114
I circled the one that i bought. And i compared it to the one that she posted on her online shop.
https://www.instagram.com/littleambershop

Had you come here prior to buying, I probably wouldn't have recommended littleambershop if the only pictures were seeing were those on the IG account.

Although it's common for Asian resellers (especially in Singapore, Malasia, Hong Kong) to buy from the US resellers or to go to the United States to purchase and take home, what I'm not comfortable with is the lack of pictures showing details and the fact that most of her pictures were taken at the store and many listings use stock images found on the internet. There's no way to authenticate what you received, know whether or not all her items are items purchased legitimately and know whether she actually has all those items in her possession.

In fact, as I've seen in other cases, this seller also describes her items as "presale" meaning that she shows pictures, sells items, collects money FIRST then goes out to buy the item(s) she has sold.

The problem with that is that items could be sold out by the time she has a buyer for it, in which case, she's unable to supply the buyer with the item and has to issue a refund. That means the buyer will be disappointed.

The bag you received is definitely not the bag shown in the pictures as the pattern placement is different and it's probably likely that she either bought multiples with the intent of reselling or went out and purchased the bag after you bought it.

With all that said, I can't authenticate the bag based on the pictures you've shown. I'd like to see a clearer and better focused picture of the creed, a picture of the tag (if available) and a direct link to the Instagram listing for that item because I can't find it among her dozens of pictures. (I can't read the correct style number on the creed. What are the last 5 numbers?)

Please help me authenticate another vintage bag I already purchased:
Item: Coach Station Bag (5130)
Listing #: N/A (Poshmark)
Seller: wendomac
Link: https://poshmark.com/listing/Coach-Station-Bag-5b16bbbc035cf11d8f4f4298
Comments: Thank you! The ladies from the Coach Rehab thread warned me this would happen... (and they were right; I can't stop looking for good deals on vintage bags!)
Without commenting on the listing in question, I'll state that Wendomac is no different from so many other sellers I've seen on Poshmark (and a huge reason why I dislike PM and don't recommend the site).

Wendomac mixes fakes and authentic items. Even if it wasn't Poshmark, I wouldn't recommend a seller who doesn't verify the legality and authenticity of her itmes.

I didn't go through every listing but will say that she has several fakes, both current and sold:
fake - https://poshmark.com/listing/Vintage-Coach-key-holder-59fcd79f41b4e0f0b90527b2
fake - https://poshmark.com/listing/Vintage-Coach-Leather-Bag-5af9e1c83afbbd875073b292 (known invalid 233-5678 serial number)
fake - https://poshmark.com/listing/Vintage-Navy-Coach-Court-Bag-5b09ae099a94550368ec3785
And I'm pretty sure this is fake: https://poshmark.com/listing/Vintage-Coach-sling-bag-5a1d8d6141b4e0bf31116217

Regarding the station bag you've asked about, I don't recommend this seller, authentic or not.

JMHO.

ETA: And yet another fake. (I need to stop looking at her listings because I keep finding more fakes. )

Thanks for the information, BeenBurned. I'll make sure not to buy from this seller again. :-)
Since you already purchased, I'm letting you know it is authentic.
Thank you, whateve! Whew, what a relief! :-)

Good evening! I have a purse I am eyeing on the goodwill site, if I could get someone to at least give me an indication of if it is real, I would be grateful! Thank you!

Item: Coach F26245 Campbell Signature Hobo Purse Bag
Listing number:54643021

Comments: I try to do some of my own weeding out, I look at other pics etc but am nowhere near the expert you are, thank you! (I feel like I would be safe with this one but not sure)

Hello!

I'm looking to buy a Selena Grace Red and the seller sent me a few pictures. They look fine, but this one from the creed looks suspicious. What do you think? What else should I look to check if it's authentic or not?

Thank you!
