  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)

  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could help me authenticate this crossbody purse. It was given to me, and I want to make sure it is real before selling. Since this is an item in my possession, I do not have a listing #, seller name, link, etc. I am attaching photos of the bag. Hi again! I’m learning..(albeit slowly,) so please bear with me. I’m looking at this 9966 bag. I read all the posts from 2011 (what an amazing rehab!!) and 2018, and this looks really close but I’m now confused...this one says made in Mexico (??) ....the others were United States...and the Creed #s are really spaced out. I love this style but don’t want another fake. Opinions? Thanks y’all for bearing with me! Seller dellyatt

The bag in the listing is authentic.

When comparing creeds, it's important that you compare apples to apples. The font, plant code, and spacing are correct for Mexico.

But also keep in mind that fakes can have "correct" serial numbers and the style is well-faked so it's good to verify before buying.

It's authentic but I don't know the style number.

Note that it's not a trifold as described in the title. It's a bifold with a gusseted coin pocket on the reverse side.

ETA: I believe the name was polished calfskin (*something?* maybe French purse?) and the style number was in the 86xx range.

ETA again!! Style 8617, polished logo ??? wallet
I've attached a picture of the tag but I didn't have good photographing skills in 2006.

Is that you're listing or are you posting a listing that's similar to the bag you have?

The bag in the pictures you've shown in your first post looks fine.

The listing from seller carmodyr can't be authenticated from the pictures shown because the bag is in its packaging and we need to see details that aren't shown in the pictures.

Thank you so much for your reply!! The photos in my first post are of the bag I have. I found a listing of what looks like the same bag on eBay and reposted so I could follow the post format requested by the thread.
