  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

Where did you buy it? We need the URL of the website and of the page the item was bought from. Please read post number One in this thread for the information and the pictures we need to authenticate a Coach product.

I bought this same exact purse at a consignment shop. I think it is a fake but will glady except some input. there was a smudge on the handle and I used a little ivory soap on a barely damp rag to wipe off smudge and the pink paint came off. Also the zipper pulls at the top of bag that look just like bag pictured are plastic with Coach New York on both sides of pull.. There are no numbers inside on the serial creed,as you can see by picsthe person selling this bag no pictures of the inside of bag are shown.
My bag there is a white tag sewn inside that says made in China.
My apologies if you do not think you can authenticate just curious as I thought Coach purse would not lose color when wiped off. also looking very close the inside creed stitching is not even. If it is a knock off it is a very good knock off.

Note that if you're requesting an authentication of a bag in your possession, we need to see pictures of YOUR bag. A different bag in an ebay listing isn't going to help you.

While I believe that it's authentic, I have some comments and would suggest waiting for other opinions.

There have been several different fonts and spacing seen on creeds from the A plants, depending on the year the bags were made. Pictures to follow.

But more important are my comments on the seller, cruiser062013 .
I'd really like to see the creed that's in the bag in this listing. I strongly question it!

Fake Dooney is gone.

I'm further comfortable with the listing in question as I found another bag from the same year and plant (made a few months earlier) that matches the bag in question.

I question it too, especially since the new design using the old Duffle Sac name with new style numbers and rectangular bases including 9186 wasn't even introduced until early 2002. Smells a wee bit fishy, doesn't it? Not to mention the "H" plant code which wasn't even used in 1999. Here's the listing BeenBurned is questioning:

SELLER JUST POSTED A CREED PIC. DEFINITELY FAKE.
1- wrong inside pocket zipper pull - should be an open ring with a leather pull tab, NOT an egg-shaped metal pull
2- lining should be Signature C jacquard, NOT plain
3- VERY bad stitching around creed patch
4- unfinished stitching on leather zipper pull at the top of the purse
5- the GENUINE 9186 only has an outside vertical seam top to bottom on ONE side, NOT BOTH like the fake

Seller " cruiser062013 " is cruisin' for a bruisin'.

I know this is the authentication forum, but if one were looking for a specific model vintage Coach, and couldn’t find on all the usual places; EBay, Poshmark, Etsy....any suggestions as to where else is a good place to look?
