  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Just so you know for future purchases - zippers stamped YKK don't prove ANYTHING about authenticity. Never buy a "Coach" because it has YKK zippers. Read my Signature under all my posts.

The wallet and bag both look good.
Thank you for the reply. Just so you know I would never use the zippers only to authenticate as I agree this does not prove anything by itself. I was just pointing it out since it was hard to see in the photo. I also ended up finding the long clear made in tag that I could not find before. Once again I do appreciate hearing the opinions of some people who seam very knowledgeable when it comes to these purses. Thanks to both of you.

Hello Authenticators, Wondering if this station bag is authentic. Seller: Goodwill
Link: https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/50552365
I don't see Leatherware under Coach like I usually see in the Made in the United States bags with the ####-###. I've been poking around for examples but not getting any hits. Thanks!
It looks fine. The word Leatherware started to disappear around this time.

Hi Experts
Please help me authenticate below item. Really appreciate!

Item: Vintage Small Coach Bag made in New York
Listing number:253510808091
Seller: fortune113
Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Small-Coach-Bag-made-in-New-York/253510808091?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1431.l2649
Comments:
The creed stamping and the shoulder strap (the threading and the end cut) make me question its authenticity, but I don't have much experience with Vintage item. need your opinion

It's a VERY bad fake - if you're the bidder, cancel now in case we can't get it removed in time. EVERYTHING about the creed and serial number is completely wrong, the strap is wrong, the zipper pull is wrong, and the construction details especially the way the inside pocket is attached don't match any genuine Coach, and "Leatherware" should only be one word, and it's LeatherWARE, not Leather WEAR. The stamp looks like someone made it in their garage. And "... characteristic AS of full grain leather" ???

In fact the creed and serial are so TOTALLY wrong that a close-up picture or two need to be saved for posterity. I've NEVER seen a creed like that before. If seller " fortune113 " actually thinks that's a genuine Coach, he or she has NO business selling Coach products and should be avoided.

ETA - and this must be our lucky day. The seller has ANOTHER "Coach" that's also a POS fake. Same lousy falling-apart stitching on the strap, wrong kind of rivets on the buckle mounting tabs, fake magnetic snap of a kind never used by Coach, and some generic design I've never seen before. Also what look like silver strap grommets with brass buckles. I can't read the very blurry creed but the Coach logo isn't right (the word "leatherware" is too small, and the name Coach isn't centered in the cartouche, the first C is farther from the end than the H is), there's nothing that even looks like a serial number, and the center seam in the outside bottom panel has only one row of stitching. Do not buy from this seller !!!!

Thank you so much!!!
Unfortunately I am the bidder, and I bid this item when I was browsing many similar listings , I must hit the wrong page without checking carefully. I was thinking by any chance if this is authentic, I will take the responsibly of my bidding... I will try to contact the seller and cancel the bidding.

Thanks again!

You also need to go back and read my answer since I added information on ANOTHER fake the same seller has listed. And you're completely OK under Ebay rules in cancelling a bid after finding out the item is counterfeit, that bag is a HORRIBLE fake and no one can force you to buy it or pay for it. You may still be able to cancel without contacting the seller, but that fake needs to be removed and hopefully destroyed.

I just started using eBay recently. I've reported the item and will definitely not buy. Thank you so much!

I'm updating these posts on TheRealReal. As I said earlier in the older posts, a guarantee of authenticity is only as good as the "experts" who authenticate items and on TRR, their experts are NOT expert!

It was on March 12 - 8.5 days ago - that Crystal at TRR responded to my email about the fake Coach keychains. Note that she assured me (in blue) that "my concerns" would be forwarded to their "authenticity team" but clearly, either she lied to me or their "authenticity team" deemed this POS as authentic. (The other listing was the one returned by @bmwm5 and was removed.)
Do not buy this item from TRR. Although they guarantee authenticity and are even told it's fake, the listing is still posted:
https://www.therealreal.com/product...eychain-1?&cvosrc=affiliate.shareasale.928094
Although this isn't an authentication request, it should be pointed out the THEREALREAL has another very obvious fake Coach bag.
https://www.therealreal.com/product...der-bag-1?&cvosrc=affiliate.shareasale.928094

It was posted on the Coach hall of shame - this post and next:

Hello! First, thank you for providing such excellent and trustworthy information on vintage Coach bags. I’m new to this site; I spent the better part of my Sunday reading and learning from your blog!
I purchased two vintage Coach purses , and now after the fact[emoji57], I’m hoping you can authenticate them for me:
The first two pics are of the large duffle that is 13.5” H x 15.5 W at top, laying flat.
The next four pics are of a smaller cross body purse in a darker green color, 8.5 H x 10 W.
Thanks for your help, and please let me know if you need more pics.IMG_3542.jpgIMG_3543.jpgIMG_3545.jpgIMG_3546.jpgIMG_3547.jpgIMG_3548.jpg
