Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.
For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:

    Where purchased or how obtained

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

You're welcome. By the way, these are obvious fakes. It doesn't take someone with tons of experience to see that. Maybe their authenticators for other brands are better. I certainly hope so.

Maybe they don't sell that much Coach or have only recently started? Coach is not on their buy list currently.

Not to get OT, but I just discovered TRR in November when they became flush with what appeared to be sample/archive items from Reed Krakoff's former line. I've had the usual occasional issues with them resulting from poor descriptions and poor packaging. However, their customer service has always done right by me...and I can't resist the unique/fun items I find there LOL.

Edit: Oh, and I'll let them know about the 2 fake keychains.

You're welcome! Thank you for telling them about the fake keychains. I'd like to know what they say. I looked at a few of their Coach listings. They have quite a few even though they don't buy Coach. I wonder where they came from. I noticed there was a vintage bag that was described as Coach X Rodarte, which obviously is wrong. I didn't see any pictures of creeds that would be needed for authentication. If you buy anything there, we would be happy to authenticate it for you after you receive and it take a picture of the creed.

Yup, very obvious and bad fakes!

As for their "Guarantee of Authenticity," a guarantee is only as good as those who authenticate the items and if they aren't using people who know what they're doing, buyers will be ripped off!

I actually added this information to the current discussion on the ebay subforum. Based on this recent activity, lack of care of a client's expensive Hermes scarves as well as these two listings for obvious fake Coach keychains, my opinion of TheRealReal is not too good!

whateve, I'm wondering what their response will be too and will let you know. Yes, I noticed with the Reed Krakoff items that there were misnamed bags too. And thank you so much for the offer to authenticate any coach items I buy from them-it's greatly appreciated!!!

The pictures aren't detailed enough to authenticate the bags but if these bags are from the same friend who wants to sell you the Kate Spade bags you asked about, she sells fakes and I think you should stay far away. Here's the Kate Spade picture you posted.

Is there a website where she has her bags listed?
