IMPORTANT READ-ME

Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.
For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller and site where listed
    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Please check ALL THE WAY DOWN in the inside pockets, especially the zipped pocket, for the small white tag with the style number and production codes. Post a photo.

Post number One here explains the procedure.

"If the bag in question is not on an auction site, please use the following:

  • Item Name (if you know it):
    Link (if available):
Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)

    • Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.
    • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number."
I already had check for the tag inside all the pockets in order to Goggle the style and there is none, only the one Made In Vietnam, I showed it in the photo.
There is no link, as I bought it locally.

I'm not comfortable trying to authenticate it without having a style number so I can look for something to compare it to. The fakes have gotten to the point where trying to authenticate newer styles without valid comparisons is almost impossible, and Coach has made so many hundreds of outlet styles that can't effectively be traced that I gave up trying to keep up with them long ago.

Maybe someone else will recognise it

No worries dear :heart::heart:

I found out that another member here has bought a Coach Backpack, the one I have been looking for. The creed tag provided by seller looks legit but the white tag is off.

Like you mentioned, can we conclude that if a bag say F38302 were made in Vietnam, it could too at the same time being made in China so there will be 2 different plant code ?

Will keep looking for authentic backpack

Yes, the same style could be made in 2 or more different plants at the same time. It could even be made in 2 different months or, within reason, 2 different years.

Thank you, I understand. I will post on the I.D. this thread.

Can anyone tell me if this is real? I'm in uk xView attachment 3963143

The bag can't be authenticated with only the photos the seller supplied. Please see post Number One at the start of this thread for a list of the photos we need.

Just as an aside, I'm always leery about expensive items that are described as "gifts". Dishonest sellers often claim that something they know to be less than genuine is a gift to distance themselves from blame if the buyer finds out that the item is counterfeit. I'm not saying that's the case here but the word "gift" in a description will make me immediately hit the Back button. Of all the tens of thousands of designer items I've looked at, the majority of "gifts" have turned out to be fakes.

Just a word to the wise...

I am the seller of this item, the buyer opened up a case against me in January with ebay and said that my authentic NWT Coach item was counterfeit. I received my item back refunded, relisted and moved on, I awoke this morning to a negative feedback saying my item is a fake. I would appreciate a confirmation of authenticity so that I could send my buyer the link so that she might be amendable to revise the negative feedback that she left for my authentic item. Thank you for your time.

Ugh! I'm taking a "break" from my self-imposed posting vacation to respond because I think it's very sad (and extremely frustrating) when buyers who aren't knowledgeable enough to verify authenticity will jump to conclusions and accuse honest sellers. And worse than simply accusing, to leave a negative feedback AFTER returning the item and getting a full refund (including shipping) is so wrong!

While there are plenty of fakes on ebay, this bag is NOT one of them and I'm hopeful that the buyer will do the right thing when she sees your post. The FIRST right thing would be to apologize profusely for jumping to conclusions and assuming something is fake just because she's not familiar with the brand. The SECOND right thing to do is to revise her feedback because her accusation is wrong.

This 'NWT' 25359 handbag is a fake; I was refunded. Do not buy / sell fakes!

BTW, @vw65vert, your response to her neg is perfect. It's factual and unemotional.

When you refer the buyer here, she's welcome to voice her concerns. If the buyer doesn't revise the feedback, you might consider posting her ID for blocking purposes. No seller wants her authentic items accused of being fake.

I'm sorry this happened to you. The bag in your listing looks authentic. Did your buyer tell you why she thought it was fake? Good luck! I would appreciate knowing the buyer's ID.
