I am beginning to think my coaches were fake. I am very afraid to check on the tag when I got home later...
The usual "cheaper" "tax free" "duty free" "From coach outlet" often left me confused. I searched high and low to check the differences between a fake and authentic coach but to no avail.

I am keen on buying a Coach Mini Charlie Backpack recently. I dont have most of the pictures but from the white tag, it seems pretty off to me already. It is as if the seller doesnt want to take the picture clearly. Can anyone advise ?

If you mean the white tag in the first photo, I'm not sure how much clearer that photo could be. The tag DOES show that it was made for the Factory Outlet stores.

If it was bought from an online seller or site, please post a link to the listing. Where is the seller located?

BTW, you're probably never going to find any correct information about how to spot fakes for newer styles made in the last 3 to 5 years. Every style is different, outlet bags usually don't leave much of a photo trail, and the fakes makers are getting more accurate, some of the most popular styles like the Swaggers are VERY closely faked and almost need to be looked at by an expert with a magnifying glass and compared to what's known to be a genuine bag in the same style. The biggest problem is that many styles from that period don't have any serial number stamped on the creed, or it's just a generic and invalid number used by several different styles. The only "rule" that still holds MOST OF THE TIME is that the standard Signature and Op Art C patterns are usually centered, at least on the front of the bag or wallet. But that's not much of a help, the more accurate counterfeiters figured that out a long time ago. Only the cheapest fakes still make that mistake. The only reasonably safe thing to do is to ask here before you bid or buy.

Hi everyone! I am so thankful that you guys always help me out, I have another bucket bag here and I know most of the VIntage leather bucket bags with a prefix that starts with a J are mostly fakes but I am not so sure about this one. Can someone please take a look? Thanks you!!

Most creeds that start with J are not fake! 1/12 of all authentic bags have creeds starting with J. This bag is authentic.

Note: The PurseForum requests that only members with an extensive knowledge of the brand and authenticating who have over 500 posts participate as authenticators in this AT thread. The moderators reserve the right to remove authentications that do not meet these requirements.

Please follow the following rules:

  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller:
    Link:
    Comments:

  • If the bag in question is not on an auction site, please use the following:

Item Name (if you know it):
    Link (if available):
Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)
    • Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.
    • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.

  • Do NOT PM an authenticator or moderator to request authentication. Any and all such requests should be posted in this thread.

It's actually a Hudson, not a Sonoma. The exact name isn't in my files but it might be the Lunch Tote.

I don't have names for any of the others but they all look ok.
Sorry, but I can’t figure out how to post my own inquiry....??

I apologize, but can you please tell me how to post my own inquiry?
If you are on a desktop, just start posting in the reply box at the bottom of the page. Then click "post reply." There is a box to upload a file if you need to post pictures. If your request is about an item posted for sale online and is viewable without having to log in, post a link to the listing and the seller's name, listing number, and item name.

Sellers name is Redbow
I’ve already received the bag, if you’d like photos.

Yes, we need a picture of the creed (leather patch inside the bag) and any other labels, such as the cloth "made in" tag sewn into the seam.

No problem. It also has a tag and a gift receipt that I’ll include photos of also. The watermark on receipt is on the front, which I kind of thought was odd, but..... who am I to know.
