WTF is with these experts?

If they become expert by reading guides and owning a bag or two, they need to give it up.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with buyers who accuse first and then ask questions.

FTLOG! You have a 14 day return policy during which they can return any item for any reason! Why the false accusations?

Please either post or PM the buyer IDs so other Coach sellers can block them. (If the buyers apologize and admit their errors, they can be forgiven!) :smile1:

ETA: Tell the buyer who's going to get a professional authentication to make sure the service she uses knows the brand. There are several authentication services that have made many mistakes across multiple brands.
"ETA: Tell the buyer who's going to get a professional authentication to make sure the service she uses knows the brand. There are several authentication services that have made many mistakes across multiple brands."
She never said she was going to get it authenticated. ON the contrary,
she has no intention of taking it any further because I am a liar and just told me not to make this any more difficult than necessary period.

For the record, my wristlet/wallet IS authentic?

When it rains it pours!
Got this message and return request just now....

seller: brunodog
auction #151601179303
link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-DAISY...t-Clutch-Wallet-49397-MINT-/151601179303?rd=1

Buyer states: "
I received my item in the mail today and I am extremely disappointed! This item is a FAKE coach wallet! I insist upon returning this item for a FULL refund!"

When I asked why she felt that way......

"The stitching is crooked. Real coach bags have symmetrical stitching. Would you like me to take pictures? I own several coach wallets and the stitching never looks crooked like this. I am very disappointed."

When I asked her to please check it out or give me the opportunity to prove it is real she said I was a liar. I am literally in tears. I think I need a break from this business.
I'm so sorry you have to go through this.

I think many of them do it so they won't have to pay return shipping and a complete refund.

I also think that ebay makes it very easy to push that "not as described" button. There is no consequence to the buyer for a false accusation.

What a bummer. People can be so awful sometimes! Gives the rest of us decent buyers a bad name.

I tend to keep records on fake-sellers and according to my records, I first reported fakes from shelbyslittleshop in 2008. Since then, I reported fakes in June, 2013 and again in November, 2014.

She was posted in the hall of shame here:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-sh...coach-fakes-here-430751-682.html#post24820995

And here's another listing with a J8Y prefix from prior to our knowing that the prefix is only on fakes.

I don't recommend a seller who clearly doesn't authenticate her items before listing them nor even after having her account dinged with multiple fakes.

She replied that she was taking the listing down. Do I need to report the fake somewhere officially?

I'm interested in opinions on this bag. Was the style even out in 1994?

The creed has me concerned:

I prepared some side-by-side comps and would like other opinions. (I do have my own opinion!)

This is interesting. I think H4F is a prefix that is on scary "good" fakes, i.e., those with fairly close details and "correct" style number. (Note: I'm not asking about authenticity of this one. It's definitely fake.)

Here's another. The text describes a leather bag but the bag is fabric:

Also the creed: (crap! forget how to make this bigger!)

let's try this:
Although I think that bag is probably okay, the seller, 53bigbooka has a history of mixing.

Fake fake fake.

No, it was NOT out in 1994. It didn't come out until almost 10 years later, Fall of 2003. The Coach logo on the creed is wrong - the letters don't widen out where they're supposed to, the creed stitching isn't right, the strap buckles are made wrong, the entire creed looks burned into the leather and shouldn't be,

The only probably valid H4F- prefix I've ever found was in a style 5356 Candidate Brief which used the same caviar-type leather as the Madisons and came out at the same time. It uses a Times New Roman-type font for the serial number, and it's so completely weird that it has to be genuine, it has the right creed statement for the Madison leather, and the briefcase looks right too. See below.
