BIG fake.

Notice how the creed words "materialstrimmed" have no space between them. Then look at the incorrect spelling of the word "detal" which is ALWAYS a sign of a fake Coach.

There are cutting and stitching problems with the creed too, and the lining doesn't look like it's finished correctly. In fact, EVERYTHING about that creed patch is wrong.

Get your money back. I don't know if you also live there, but Malaysia has very strict laws against importing, distributing or selling counterfeit goods.

The article says that people who buy counterfeits are urged to file complaints against the lawbreakers. Keep a copy of the receipt if you return the bag. If you ordered it from an online company or an actual shop, they're probably selling other fakes too.

Could someone please authenticate this Coach bag?
From GW yesterday...it's been a little "dry" around here...this was a nice surprise.
It's really rare around here to find anything burgundy or bordeaux...don't know why.
Approx. 13.5"w x 11.25"h x 2.5"d. Strap 9" to rings.

BB - I misread the number mentioned in my first reply but it doesn't have a lot in common with style 19358 either.

If it's supposed to be style 19358, it SHOULD look like the bag in this listing:

It did not come with any tags nor does it have the creed anywhere in or on the purse. So, unfortunately, all I have are the pictures. Are you able to authenticate this?

After 2000, most styles started to use the newer thicker keyring with the flat front & back surfaces. Yours was apparently changed by one of the owners.

It looks like there was a MFF version in 2014 and the FP version in 2011.

Although the fake from Malaysia has a style number (sans F) of the full priced bag, the text is from the newer MFF one.

Malaysian fake - "finest materials trimmed with genuine leather:"

Authentic FP version - Notice "finest materials and leather:"

Authentic MFF version - "finest materials trimmed with leather" -- NO "genuine" as on fake.

It's genuine. I don't have the style name but it's from the Hamptons Weekend Scarf Print line from 2006,

Many smaller bags and accessories might not have creeds or serial numbers.

Whateve...if you're authenticating this bag...is the loose end strap like the one I asked you about earlier? If you remember. lol My navy pocket zip doesn't have a loose end strap and when I saw one like the listing above, I commented about it and you said it was good...just a different style.

Yes it is authentic. I don't know what's up with the straps. It seems that the majority of them are loose like this. I have this exact purse and it is loose on mine. At first, I thought it was dependent on the style; now I think they only did the enclosed kind (which I love) for a short while.

Thank you for your reply. I think I'm partial to the enclosed kind too. I just don't know if the strap floating/flapping around out there would be an annoyance. Hmmm, this would be a gift for my sister. She's pretty particular like me.

It depends how long the strap needs to be. I have two of these and I have the strap at maximum length and it doesn't bother me at all.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I keep the strap long so there isn't much a strap end flapping around. If there were, I'd find a paper clip in a matching color or brass and use that to hold down the end.

Great idea about the paper clip.

Two.time.bags...I don't know how she will want to carry it but we'll worry about that if I win it. lol

I don't have any photos of that year and plant code together, and there are too many areas of that purse that need better photos including the backs of the strap buckles and the entire top of the inside pocket zipper including the edges of the pocket to really figure that one out. But the creed stamping looks really blurry, and the letters of the Coach logo seem just a bit too thin where they should be thicker. Though straps can and sometimes are changed or replaced, the grommets on this one look too silver.

I can't say that it's fake, but I personally wouldn't buy it.
