Genuine. It looks like a Collegiate Bag, style 9815 from some time around 1989.

Thank you! Unfortunately my trigger finger was too slow, but it looked like a lovely vintage bag.

"Edit: Are all bags with -9941 fake, like one of the ebay guides says?"

All bags with STYLE NUMBER -9941 are fake, which is exactly what the Fake Numbers Guide says. But in this bag, that's NOT the style number. Go back and read the Salearea Guides on Creeds and Serial numbers - only bags made from 1994 to the present have the style number as part of the serial number. If the full serial number is all numbers and no letters, then the style number isn't a part of it.

I realized right after I posted my edit that it was a stupid question and why, which is why I took it back out. I should have known better. I apologize if I wasted your time.

Thank you for your reply. I think I'm partial to the enclosed kind too. I just don't know if the strap floating/flapping around out there would be an annoyance. Hmmm, this would be a gift for my sister. She's pretty particular like me.
You're welcome.
It depends how long the strap needs to be. I have two of these and I have the strap at maximum length and it doesn't bother me at all.
That's exactly what I was thinking. I keep the strap long so there isn't much a strap end flapping around. If there were, I'd find a paper clip in a matching color or brass and use that to hold down the end.

I found this pristine little wristlet in a thrift store $1.99 "grab bag". She looks authentic to me, but I'm not very familiar with non-vintage Coach, so would appreciate some reassurance from the pros :-) And perhaps the name/style? I'd like to carry her this spring... If it ever arrives :-D

Size is approx. 8" w x 4" h
Canvas with Green trim,
nickel hardware,
beige grosgrain fabric lined,
black Made in China tag inside.

Thanks as always!
Christina G

It looks fine. It's some type of Hamptons wristlet but I don't have a style number for it.

Please authenticate.

I don't have a better picture than the following small stock pic but it looks like style 7182.

Wait for Hyacinth to confirm (or deny).
Remember this one that I got? I just realized that the keyring seems smaller than others I have. This is a picture comparing it to other Coach keychains I have. What do you think? The hangtag is smaller than those on the keychains in the picture but I have other Coach keychains with a similarly sized hangtag, just none with the same size ring.

After 2000, most styles started to use the newer thicker keyring with the flat front & back surfaces. Yours was apparently changed by one of the owners.

Could someone please authenticate this Coach bag?
From GW yesterday...it's been a little "dry" around here...this was a nice surprise.
It's really rare around here to find anything burgundy or bordeaux...don't know why.
Approx. 13.5"w x 11.25"h x 2.5"d. Strap 9" to rings.

Genuine, but I don't have the name on file. You're probably right.
