Definitely fake, the stripe width is a big problem. The zipper pull also looks like it's silver with a brass hangtag added later. The zipper pull seems to have too many links and the open end of the zipper looks unfinished.

My husband bought me "a genuine Coach bag" from a garage sale today. I am a bit suss, naturally. It is a red/pink colour, the metalware is horribly scratched, it is grubby inside and out. I feel that the metal Coachman's whip screams obvious fake. Inside dirty cream coloue lining, label says No F1293-21227. Had a lot of use due to grubby handles, scratches all over the metal hardware, and base of external leather. It does have aYKK zipper. Even if it is not a fake, it is really dirty.

So far, I don't see anything suspicious but I'd like to see a straight on picture of the stuffed bag from the front.

Note that YKK zipper doesn't mean diddly!

I saw that they'd already pulled it when I got up this morning, and set up a Not As Described return.

The seller immediately accepted and is paying return shipping.
But I got this message from them - OK to refer them here?
"It is authentic. Coach Sonoma is vintage, real leather. You can return it back if you like but I will keep my opinion of the wallet as it. I do not know what is going on."

This one is an obvious fake that had little research been done, she'd have learned.

You absolutely may refer merlyns_outlet here!

There have been many cases where sellers (both good and bad ones) have been referred here. Honest ones have stayed, authenticated their subsequent listings before posting them and never made the same mistake again.

Others, possibly like merlyns_outlet come here, continue to insist on their knowledge and continue to list fakes, often finding themselves NARU.

And the fact that your seller had another listing for a fake shows that she isn't as expert as she thought.

Though there's nothing wrong with not knowing how to ID fakes, there is a problem with not having a willingness to learn!
