Can you look at this Murphy bag. I'm really trying to learn all I can about coach bags, and creeds. I love this bag, so purchased it for myself. But now I'm a little concerned about how the Creed looks!https://www.poshmark.com/listings/58f28560c284560940097a4d

It's fine, made in 1997. The serial number font and spacing are correct for a bag made at the M plant during that time period.

And I REALLY want to emphasise something we say very often - Poshmark is notorious for not removing fakes when reported and for not giving refunds even when given solid evidence that an item is fake. Please have name brand items from PM authenticated before buying or bidding. The same advice holds for Etsy, Listia and all other online sites, but Poshmark is the worst when it comes to getting your money back after buying a fake.

Search the Coach forums here for 14 pages of examples, use "poshmark fake" as the search term.

Oh, wow. Thanks. I will definitely do that before I purchase. I know eBay refunds buyer, thought posh would too. I will look at the pages. Since I sold some fakes without knowing, I have new trying to be very diligent in not making that mistake again. And I see there are are some really bad fake ones on posh.

You also need to start including more and better photos in your listings, no matter which site they're listed on. EVERY Coach bag should include a clear readable creed and serial number photo.
EVERY Coach bag with a turnlock should include a clear photo of the back of the turnlock.
And EVERY Coach bag should be authenticated here before you list it or buy it for resale. You can't link directly to your own listings but you can post the photos you intend to use for them. And don't guess at style numbers if you don't know for sure what they are.

Thats why I'm here, to learn.

*sigh* This is debbieb208 who is no longer allowed to list Coach on ebay so she sells on Etsy as GutsyGirls. (This was another ebay ID: gutsygirldebb-1 but it's NARU.)

However today, on Bonanza I recognized a listing style that I recognized. Her description wording is very distinct and after seeing the seller ID, I knew why it sounded familiar.

I'm pretty sure this is fake but would like confirmation. The bag has a US plant code that I don't believe was in operation in 2003.
Bonanza listing title: Coach Bag~ Bonnie Cashin Bag~Coach Cross Body ~Taft Bag~ Shopper~ Book Bag~ Orga
Seller - bonzuser_rxchc aka Gutsy Girls Inc
https://www.bonanza.com/listings/Co...Body-Taft-Bag-Shopper-Book-Bag-Orga/519688883

And the same bag on Etsy by:
Seller GutsyGirls
https://www.etsy.com/listing/552416...?ga_search_query=taft&ref=shop_items_search_1

She seems to continue to have blurry and illegible creeds on questionable items or those she doesn't know of authenticity but clear creeds on good ones:

BTW, the reason I'm posting this repeat offender is because Bonanza is very good about removing fakes (if deemed as such) as opposed to Etsy, another site on which I've never been successful in getting action on reports.

I'm seeing an F plant code. We had a discussion about this plant a few days ago. There are only very few F plant creeds we believe are authentic, and all are on business items made in 1994 or 1995. All F plant have a very unique font. I think she has learned to avoid posting pictures of anything that would prove her bags are fake.

Thanks. In fact, I'd had a convo with @Hyacinth earlier today about another bag with an F plant, that bag from 2002. (This one from GutsyGirls/Gutsy Girls is from 2003.)

Hyacinth also stated that she has nothing in her files showing an F past 1995.

Although you've confirmed my own conclusion, I'll also wait for Hyacinth to second (or third) it.

:) This seller just doesn't give up. She has way more fakes on Etsy though (at least so far) than on Bonz.

She has so many fakes you have to wonder where she finds them.
