Seller station_85
The bag seems okay but the seller is experienced enough to know that full legible creeds and serial numbers are needed. While this listing shows a creed (illegible though it may be), other listings don't even have a blurry or distant picture!

station_85 describes this bag as "vintage" though having been made in 2004, it still has 7 years before being officially vintage.

Fake allert. Look at this horribly ugly thing.
Look what I found on Mercari! Coach Satchel posted by Jennifer Howard https://item.mercari.com/gl/m63385467232/

When it's an obvious fake and you know it (as with this listing), you can post directly to the HOS.
Jennifer Howard

Ok thanks! Off to post on HOS.
Is there a way to report fakes on Mercari? I couldn't find a report button nor could I find a way to contact the seller to ask a question/let her know that it's fake.

Should I get a legible serial/creed picture first? I'm looking for a bag in decent shape, but not sure if its vintage I am after or just an era where I can be sure these Willis bags are made well. Is it better to aim for an older bag? Thanks!

There's a way to report on the app. And that's it. It doesn't give you an option to give a reason why you are reporting it. It just asks "are you sure you want to report this item?". You can also message the seller on the app.

ETA: I have told a seller before and the seller didn't remove the item. I reported and mercari didn't remove it. It sold for $8. I am guessing unless the buyer contacts and claims it's not authentic then something is done about it. The seller gets suspended.

I don't use the app and certainly won't download it to fill up my phone for a site that doesn't remove fakes.

Apparently they don't have a way to report or contact on the desktop version. Clearly, Mercari doesn't care.

I'm comfortable enough that the bag is authentic but regarding condition, station_85 (station 85) has somewhat of a history of not accurately depicting or describing condition.

Please wait for someone to chime in who has had experience with the seller.
