Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

Hi. DH bought one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Darcy-Leather-EW-Universal-Phone-Case-Violet-Purple-F68079-free-shipping-/301410156527?pt=Wallet&hash=item462d71ffef but when it came, it didn't feel or smell like the Pink one I bought directly from Coach. I sold it, because it was too pink, so DH saw the purple on Ebay and got it.

I wrote to the seller, telling them the hang tag was different from the pink (still had my pictures from when I sold it) and that it felt and smelled like plastic. she wrote back saying she bought it from coach.tingtingchen and sent a photocopy of the receipt. That proves she bought it, but not that it's real.

It came with an over sized (maybe for a scarf, or ipad case?) that is stark white, with Coach embossed across the cover.

Tag says made in Viet Nam, came with the same tag and style number as the original pink (only difference is color). Tag was placed inside a pocket of the wallet. Tissue paper was plain white tissue.

TBH, it is a mirror image as the pink (aside from smell, feel and hangtag). I'll go take pictures and add them this afternoon, but I wanted to put the link up right away. And now, there are 3 other sellers selling the same thing. Thanks for any help.

The pictures in the listing from seller onlinecostmart show an authentic item. If the item you received is the same one in the pictures, it seems okay.

I've noticed that a lot of items have a "chemical-ly" smell, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're fake.

I got the Andrea (thanks again for identifying it!) in the mail today. It was from this listing, which I posted earlier:

I can't thank you enough. I am glad I was polite, and sent her the picture of the different hang tag as soon as she sent me the copy of the receipt. I couldn't make out much, but figured she was on the level. It was only when I saw the name of the site, and their stock pics, that I became worried. So I came her before saying anything else.

The nice thing, it is the same shade purple as my first Phoebe. So thanks BB, and Happy Holidays to all the lovely purse addicts.

It looks fine. I'm not sure why she said it was made in the US unless she isn't aware that Coach makes its bags in many different countries. Clearly, she didn't read the creed!

You're welcome.

I don't blame you for being concerned with you saw the name of the website. (Keep in mind that receipts don't prove anything. Receipts can be faked and genuine receipts can be used to "prove" authenticity of a fake.)
