Could someone please authenticate these 2 Coach bags?
Both from GW...it's been a dry spell, but hopefully over :)
Approx. 11"w x 6.5"h x 4.25"d. Straps 8" to buckles.
This bag is in pristine condition...found in the general purse population for $17.99...oops!
Maybe a 2003 Hampton Small Flap Satchel #9267? Found a larger one on wayback, but not this one.
Any info is always appreciated...thanks in advance!

The 2nd GW bag is not nearly as nice, but rehab-able I think.
Approx. 12"w x 12"h x 2"d. Strap 8.5 to buckles.
A 2004 Soho Mini Signature Large Hobo #1461?
Thanks again!
Both are authentic.

Hi - I just received a group of bags and I am questioning authenticity on two of them, the briefcase and the stewardess bag. Thank you!
Seller: logistics94
auction #151590401089
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Authenti...14I4a4YxJnbC19mSNupec%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
You were right to question them. They are both fake. The creed on the briefcase has the wrong font for the G factory. There are grooves on the turnlock. There should be a center bottom seam. For the stewardess, the P plant was being used for Costa Rica at that time and we've never seen it used for any other place. There are some weird frame marks at the top of the creed.

Just an editorial comment on my opinion....some of logistics94 's listings are more appropriate for the dump than for ebay. A seller who sells items in the condition of some of her lots needs to show way more pictures of the details as well as the "issue" areas.

I'm not comfortable with her most recent Uggs sale either.

First one - off-center creed and serial stamping, indented turnlock plate (I'm still trying to find a pic of a genuine one from that period). The REAL one has a single center seam on the bottom but yours has a double, one on each end. Compare it to this listing from Mexico, April 1999:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-D9N-5...952?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f47ee5b68

Also, the back of the turnlock is covered over and there's no Organizer panel inside the front pocket.

ETA - the rectangular turnlocks on the 5180s and maybe other recent styles DO have indents on the back of the turnlock. Just so everyone knows.

Every G plant bag I've found from 1999 has a different month code (positive sign), a different G font from the mid-decade G-plant bags (possible), and the same font in the N in "No" (and that looks like the one used by the "N"Mexico plant), but a few tiny differences in some other letters and number including the "No", so that's a possible negative.

The J8P- prefix in the Stewardess is always fake if it's not from Costa Rica. The visible marks showing inprints from thr stamp mechanism's upper corners are another problem.

Wow you are so on point!
I wasn't going to mention it because it was not really the appropriate place to air my grievances but this was the second dirtiest group of bags I have ever received on ebay.
I won a second auction around the same time, got both groups today. This second auction has the TOP spot for dirtiest and worst condition items.
THe both groups are so filthy that I glanced at the boxes and found identical return addresses for both auctions. The other seller ID is jordan.paula FYI.
Looks like someone dragged them through gravel, tossed the bags into a dumpster, then threw dirt on them, while rodents crawled around inside depositing their droppings and tons of hairs (defintely not human hair):yucky: Seriously unsanitary! Message me if you can stomach the photos.

Eww! Both logistics94 and jordan.paula take pictures of their disgusting filthy bags on a variety of dirty rugs. Who knows what's hiding in that pile (pile meaning the nap of the rugs!)

I may have added more info to my post - I tend to edit as long as I'm allowed to, so always check my posts for edits and additions.

Now you have a good excuse for sending that entire lot of filthy bags back. And PLEASE leave no-holds-barred Feedback - they sound disgusting!

Attention readers - DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM EBAY IDs logistics94 OR jordan.paula !!!!!!!

There are a few things I mentioned in my post - the G plant font in 1999 MAY have been different from earlier ones, I've found several other 1999 bags with various month codes and the same smaller G, pics of the creeds below. If you want pics of the rest of the bag(s), let me know and I'll post them separately. Notice that the "9" in what I think may be genuine bags is different from the one in the fake 5180 briefcase, the base of the 9 in the fake is much shorter.

Also note my comment on the turnlock backs of the rectangular turnlocks, the ones I've found in other 5180s from 1997 thru 1999 are also indented although not as deeply as in the fake.

Pictures are - First three creeds, probably/possibly real, 4th is the fake 5180, 5th is the back of a genuine late 90s briefcase turnlock from a style 5180 made in Mexico.
