Ugh.. looks like 4920 is a Sonoma style.

Yes, wrong style number, wrong font for anything from the C plant, wrong shape of the "padding" right above the turnlock, and other photos would probably show more problems. I'd be curious to see pics of both stamped sides of the leather hangtag too. The shape of the base plate of the "male" part of the turnlock doesn't look right either.

Remember, we need to know where it was purchased especially if it was from Ebay during the last 6 months. Everyone needs to follow the format required in Post number One even if the bag is in in your possesssion, as long as it's a fairly recent purchase.

Genuine Coach hangtags, and almost all fakes, always have the the hole for the ball chain at the LEFT side where the first letter C is. Yours are backwards. And although some genuine 2-layer hangtags would separate over time, I've noticed that it 's a lot more likely for a fake to have one of those separated hangtag sets than it is for a genuine Coach and I've been giving those listings with split hangtags a very close look.

Just wondering - as long as you bought it on Ebay and you were already on the site, why didn't you just do an Ebay Search for "coach 4920"? You could have saved yourself time, aggravation and probably money too. Maybe that's not a fair question since the serial number is very hard to read, but if someone is familair with Coach serial numbers a style number starting with -49 in a Prairie Bag would have been a warning, the "49" is readable if you use the Zoom feature. The badly padded area above the turnlock is a big red flag though, the bottom edge of that padded area shouldn't be straight across. There's a lot of variation but it should at least be curved and correctly centered to follow the curved shape of the turnlock right under it.

The listing number is along the right edge of the page in extremely small print.
Contact your seller IMMEDIATELY, before it gets reported and removed.

Is this the listing?

The item number is usually hidden half-way down the listing on the right side on a computer, not sure on mobile.

Welcome to tPF.

Every seller has started with 0 Feedback. It's not anything to worry about unless there are other problems with their listings. The seller doesn't offer returns so if you have any doubts about the bag, don't buy it.

The descriptions could be better. It's a Willis, not any kind of City Bag. And it's NOT vintage which means 20 years old or older. It was made in China in 2001 and was one of the earlier China-made classic styles. And the bag doesn't look too new to me, I'm seeing normal wear patterns.

Dye or even something as bad as shoe polish is always a possibility. Contact the seller and ask what kind of conditioners, treatments or colorants have been used on the bag, and SAVE THEIR REPLY. If they say nothing and send you a bag covered in olive oil or shoe polish, you have grounds for a Not As Described claim through Ebay. I can't tell if that white-looking edge on the strap is a reflection or actually a loss of color. Too-shiny bags are often a red flag since classic Coach leathers really aren't supposed to be shiny.

Thank you so much for the quick reply! That was also my thought regarding 'shinyness'. I saw another bag that looked like it had too little wear and I asked if she had dyed it. She said no, she just polished it with some kiwi polish. I asked what kind because when I used mink oil on mine it didn't change anything! She said, oh just some black shoe polish. OH! THAT kind of polish! To me that is like dyeing it!
