For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:

    Link:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item

  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

  • If the bag in question is not on an auction site, please use the following:

Item Name (if you know it):
    Link (if available):
Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)
    • Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.
    • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.

The price on this Coach holo is quite a bit lower than other listings for the same item.

Does this seem authentic?

The seller's Feedback is full of comments that the item received wasn't like the photos, item not received or received damaged, AND accusations that the seller sold them a fake. Did you actually read their Feedback? There's NO WAY I would ever buy from that seller " DYMODA "
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...=negative&interval=365&_trkparms=negative_365

"Highest buyer ratings" my butt. I don't care how much they sell or for how cheap, most of the problems in those Neutrals and Negatives should never have happened, or should have been handled immediately. When a seller gets too big to service their customers it's time for them to cut back. But too many of the high-volume Ebayers get greedy, and Ebay closes their eyes to the problems as long as the sellers keep paying their fees.

Hyacinth, thank you! That would be perfect, actually. Easy to get into and an exterior pocket, which I think is essential these days.

Yep, to me outside pockets have always been essential, it's a major PITA to have to be digging in a bag to find your car or house keys or "to do" notes or even a pen, much less a phone! It seems like almost none of the bags Coach makes nowadays has any any outside pockets, and there's no way I'd buy a bag like that.

Hi!
Can you authenticate this bag? It's approximately 7 x 11 x 2 inches. There are no markings on the hardware, except a YKK by the zipper pull, which i couldn't capture in a photo.

It's authentic but I have two comments:
1. Generally, the more "Coach" markings on hardware, the more likely a bag is to be fake.
2. YKK or any other brand of zipper have nothing to do with authenticity. Coach has used several different brands of zippers over the years, one of which was YKK. But the fakers also use YKK brand, some genuine (since zippers are cheap) and also, fake YKK zippers.

Thank you very much for authenticating, and also for the extra info!

I have a few more comments.

Anyone buying Coach needs to read the six Salearea Coach Guides published at Ebay. There's one just on the subject of "authenticy guides" and all the misinformation usually found in them:
http://www.ebay.com/gsr/i.html?uid="salearea"&rmvSB=true

BTW, the red bag you asked about is a 2002 remake of the classic Basic Bag.

Item: Coach Angelfish Pendant Charm
Style: 94210 GD MC from Spring 2008 (is that correct?)
Seller: csimmons58 (eBay $29.99, retail price = $148)

Comments: This was an impulse buy last night (white wine and eBay Bucks were contributing factors!)

The item has already been bought, paid for, and shipped so it is a little late to be asking for authentication advice! I don't think it is fake, but I suddenly remembered that charms and fobs have been faked in the past - and so I would greatly appreciate hearing your opinion - and any other information that you may have about the item.

The listing says that it is Le Tan jewelry but I know that is incorrect. It reminds me of a purple and gold Snaphead fob that I have had for years.

I realize that the chain is a replacement, it is stated as such in the listing, but I already have some gold Coach chains, including a long, ball chain that I think is similar to the original for this pendant.

I totally don't need it but I liked it! Please let me know your opinion and thanks in advance for your information.

It looks fine. I assume that the seller didn't know that the chain is a replacement though if she did, it should have been disclosed. (ETA: She described the chain but not as a replacement.)

It matches the picture in the May 2008 catalog, but that doesn't prove it's genuine - wait for BeenBurned, maybe she has one for comparison. Original retail "at select stores" was $148, and it came with a gold-colored hangtag. There's no other description and it's not a Pierre Le Tan.

ETA - Should have checked before posting. Again. Sorry!

Hello there, was wondering if this bag is authentic. I am particularly curious about the zipper on the inside pocket. Did Coach ever use plastic zippers instead of brass there? I have seen that in some lighter bags (made in the early 2000's ....thereabouts) I have passed on, so am curious. Thank you in advance!

Item: coach city bag

It's authentic.

Here are other *1Ds (not a city bag) with the same pocket zipper.
