Hello authenticators, may I please have an opinion on this bag? Thank you so much for your time!

After looking at the seller's recent Feedback, I'm not even going to authenticate that bag. Did you happen to check it?

THE SELLER HAS 9 NEGATIVES IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS, AND FOUR OF THEM ARE FROM THE PAST MONTH, ALL FOR NON-SHIPMENT OF THE ITEMS AND NO REFUND. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND BUYING A NEWSPAPER FROM THIS SELLER, AND IF EBAY WASN'T SO BLASTED GREEDY THAT SELLER WOULD HAVE BEEN BANNED A MONTH AGO. No wonder they changed their ID in mid-May and went to mostly Private Feedback, which can be a big red flag. And did they REALLY think changing their ID was going to cover their tracks? And while I understand that people can have personal problems or illnesses or deaths in the family, sellers need a back-up system in place to handle their listings if they can't.

My advice? Run like Hell, and don't look back.

DOH!! No, I hadn't checked that yet. Thank you for doing my due diligence! I shall keep browsing. :amazed:

This is one of the reasons why we also want the posting format to be followed. It helps buyers and authenticators in future (possible) searches for the seller and her history.

What's even scarier than all the recent negative feedbacks is the fact that this is a brand new ebay user, having just opened her account in December, 2016. If a member has this bad a record so early in her history, I don't think she'll be around long and I don't think she'll respond to issues should you have any.

And should 96% feedback not be enough to scare you away, another red flag would be multiple locations shown in her listings. Some listings show her location as Minneapolis, MN and others show Chicago, IL.

This happened to me once with a seller who never shipped. Right after my purchase, she received two negatives for not shipping, then mine, then a few others. I watched for a few months to see if ebay would NARU her but they didn't. She bought a few things on her account after receiving the negatives, but I think she stopped selling temporarily. I wonder if ebay gave her a selling restriction.

I seem to remember about 10 years ago if your FB fell below 98, you'd automatically go on either restriction or suspension. Ebay's coffers must be getting mightly empty for them to let something like this slide, or to not have any system in place for flagging the problems, especially when there's always a possibility of fraud in that kind of Item Not Shipped situation.

Thanks for all this, BeenBurned. I read post 1, even copied the format, then proceeded to forget all about it when I posted my first request. That is what I get when I attempt something after little sleep due to a migraine and post migraine stupids. I do appreciate you and Hyacinth helping to educate me, even if I failed miserably at posting correctly.

It's a Berkeley Chunky Case from 1996 or 1997. The zipper pull is badly discolored, it's supposed to be brass.

ETA - sorry, I missed BeenBurned's reply

Thank you too! Do you think it's a different metal or just really badly tarnished?

Whateve would be the person to ask. That's the first time I've ever seen one that color.

No thanks needed, I already have more than enough cosmetic cases. At my age, cosmetics are mostly wishful thinking anyway. there's nothing that will make me look better except a paper bag over my head. :giggle:
Oh I was thanking for the ID. [emoji12]
