Genuine, but it's actually a Soho Buckle Bag, NOT a Waverly. This shows why we always tell everyone NOT to depend on names, dates or other information posted by Ebay sellers, at least 25 percent of the ones selling this style call it by the wrong name.

Cool! Thanks! Yeah those are called Waverleys all over the 'net so that's what I assumed it was called. But you have no idea how helpful that catalog pic is in deciding how to reshape this after a wash. This is the second one I have in this style and I didn't know whether to tuck in the sides or what with the first one. Now I know! Might be tricky to get it to stay like that but I will model it to the picture and see what happens.

Please follow the following rules:

  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.

    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller:

    Comments:

  • If the bag in question is not on an auction site, please use the following:

Item Name (if you know it):
    Link (if available):
Then attach any photos (all authentication must include photos.)
    • Please be sure to include a clear readable photo of the creed stamp and serial number from inside the bag or accessory if there is one, and the bag's measurements when the bag is an older or vintage leather Coach.
    • Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.
  • Authenticators are not required to answer every request and it is their right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format.
  • Please note that comments on price and condition are NOT permitted.
  • Do NOT PM an authenticator or moderator to request authentication. Any and all such requests should be posted in this thread.

Hi, I am very sorry, I have never done this before. It is my first post, so I don't know what buttons to click on to ask this question.
I have seen a coach bag I like, but I do not know if it is genuine. My sister told me you may help?

Auto no: E0920-43063
My iPad will not show me the ref number, so I can't find it. But the seller is a UK seller called Bagfriend55

It is a burgundy colour, two zip. I did ask days ago for the authenticity code, but she had only got back to be with 6 hours left stating she was away so could not reply. Then she just gave me the code. I have also photo editing the actual page, so you can see the details. I have others but it will not let me include them. it will not let me put them, up. It says the fills are to big. So I don't know what to do! The bag has coach logo embossed in small on the top of the back of the bag too.

Again, I am so sorry if I have done this in the wrong place! If anybody could get back to me, before this bid ends. I would appreciate that very much. Also there is a mark on the back, where leather has faded. Can this be polished over? Is it worth paying for, in that condition?

Hi and welcome!
Here's a link to the listing.

I don't see any problems but can't authenticate it with certainty without seeing a picture of the creed. Just knowing the serial number doesn't prove anything because "valid" serial numbers are often used on fakes.

If you can get a picture of the creed showing the full serial number, we can probably confirm. If you really want the bag and are concerned that the auction will end before getting it or if she refuses to send it, you can always buy it and post pictures after receipt.

You might also recommend to the seller that additional pictures are necessary for authenticators to be able to authenticate as well as for the seller to prove authenticity of her items. Ebay allows sellers to upload 12 pictures without charge. I just don't understand why sellers don't take advantage of that freebie.

Hi, Thankyou. I have messaged her and asked for a picture. If I have no reply, I will think hard on if to get it. But if I do I will keep the receipt and if I am allowed to screen shot any answer here, to show eBay customer services it is a fake, I will get my money back! Is that allowed? If not don't worry. I will go to complain to eBay anyway. Just proof is always helpful.
