No strap , but I would love to know if the body is authentic. Thank you in advance for your help!

Welcome to tPF.

We discourage posters from buying from Poshmark. Too many members here have had problems with fake items. Not only doesn't Poshmark have any effective system in place for removing items that are reported to them as fakes even with irrefutable evidence, but many who find out that they've bought a fake have had a miserable time trying to get their money back even when our members produce evidence provided by the experianced authenticators here and at the other tPF forums as to why the items are fake.

There is a HUGE thread at the Shopping Resources / Ebay Forum titled "Does Anyone Use Poshmark?" Here's the link to the most recent page, the posts go back almost 5 years. If you read or just glance through the posts from the last 2 or 3 years you'll get a good idea of the kinds of problems that our site members have experienced. Several of our regular Coach Forums posters have also had similar problems.

Here's a recent post by BeenBurned, another one of our Coach authenticators that explains the problems:
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/does-anyone-use-poshmark.780202/page-202#post-31347050

"I can't tell you how many listings I've flagged over the last 3 years. (A conservative estimate of the number of reports would be in the thousands.) What I can tell you is EXACTLY how many of those listings were removed: NONE, zero, zilch, nada, zip! Not a single listing has ever been removed by Poshmark. (Every once in a while, a seller will end her listing but more often, the sellers know exactly what they're selling, accuse me of being a troll and they block me. The listings ultimately go to a buyer.)"

So even though the Baxter is genuine, I don't recommend buying from PM, because any company or site that closes their corporate eyes to taking (and keeping!) money for fakes even after the fakes have been reported doesn't deserve any kind of recommendation.

Hello ladies,
I would like to ask your opinion about this Coach bag. I bought it from garage sale, so there is no link.

Name: seller called it a "Casino bag"
silver hardware and removable long strap.

Thank you very much for your time and expertise!

It is authentic. It is indeed a casino bag. The hardware color was called nickel.

Hyacinth,

Thank you so much for that insight! I've been buying and selling on Poshmark for just a couple months and have personally had good luck, but I've mostly dealt with brands that aren't valuable enough to be faked. How disappointing.

What about this one? I was a little more hesitant because of the condition of it-I'd have to visit the rehab club to see if I could deal with the darkened handles and the spots.

Hi Txlagrl
Just a note about condition, in case you didn't think of this already :
The stains and what looks to me like burn marks near the creed makes me wonder if this was owned by a smoker.
Those things are hard (but not impossible) to remove, so something to consider if it might bother you.
The Rehab forum has lots of info about removing odors.
