Hello! Does anyone recognize this style? I've never seen it before and tried doing a search online and nothing comes up which makes me wonder if it's authentic. Its a drawstring sling/ bucket backpack but looks clearly different than the classic sling backpack. View attachment 3700282 View attachment 3700283 View attachment 3700284 Thanks for any info or insight!

Why are you using the word "backpack"? It's just called a Drawstring Sling, style 4023 from the 1990 Lightweight line. I don't see any other straps that would allow it to be used as a backpack. There are several different styles using that term that come up in an Ebay search although this style isn't in any current listings under that name, but it's not surprising that a style that old might not have any examples currently on Ebay. If you're searching Google instead of Ebay for a 27 year old style you're wasting your time.

Don't make your searches more complicated than they need to be.

Thank you as always for your quick response! I called it a "backpack" simply because they often are listed as such in the discription because they can be worn cross body. Yes I found plenty of examples of the 4023 however they look very different than the one I posted. On the 4023 the strap is the "drawstring". I own one and it looks very very different. This one has a separate drawstring on the front. When seen side by side you can see what I'm talking about. And yes I have searched all the selling platforms to no avail. It's the first time I have not been able to find a single example. That's why I was asking here.

So sorry I just saw your attachment! Thank you! That's why I posted here because I know someone would have the info I wasn't able to find on my own.

Are you sure the one you own with the strap as the drawstring is actually a style 4023? Coach has made a LOT of different Slings and Drawstrings and since quite a few of them were made before 1994 it's easy for a buyer or seller to get the number wrong. I'm pretty sure the 4023s were discontinued before Coach started using the style numbers as part of the serial numbers, and so were most of the late 1980s-early 1990s Sling and Drawstring styles. And even if someone has the original catalogs to refer to, many catalog listings don't show the strap and drawstring details clearly.

1- fake, the E plant code was only used for Italy. And I wish there was a better photo of the male part of the magnetic snap.
2- seems ok
3- genuine, looks like a Dover Bag style 9900 from the Carriage Classics Collection from around 1992.
4- genuine Crescent Bag, style 9235

The bag above isn't heart0401's only fake.

In fact, she sold that fake once already. I wonder if it was returned because the buyer learned it was fake:

She also sold this fake Coach (as well as a fake Dooney):
