Hi all, Will you please authenticate this listing? This is similar to the one I found on Poshmark. I don't recognize any Coach bags having a Z in front of the model number. Thanks again!

Item: NWT Coach Leather Nancy $378 MSRP Crossbody handbag Z33007 Pink Scarlet
Listing: 121571621023
Seller: Danajab35zc
Link: http://m.ebay.com/itm/NWT-Coach-Lea...ody-handbag-Z33007-Pink-Scarlet-/121571621023
This listing can't be authenticated without a picture of the creed.

On authentic bags, the Z in front of the style number indicates that the bag was made for discounters such as Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx, etc.

yeah, she has really good reviews and is a kind person from our communication, and from what others say, so I doubt she knows honestly. I just told her and told her I'd be happy to refer her here if she is in disbelief.

EDIT: she assures me it's real, referring her here.
2ND EDIT: I don't know if she came here or not, but then sent me this "The k stands for November. They ALWAYS use k for November. The 3 is for 2003. And the H is the factory code. And I assure you they use the H to describe an United States factory. So I have no idea what your talking about. The zippers are YKK and leather is buttery soft. You've been misled. Your loss."..

yikes, that didn't go over like I'd hoped.

thanks!

She's wrong on several counts.

The K month code is for October. L is November, M is December. Coach skips the letter I because it can be mistaken for the number One.

YKK zippers don't prove ANYTHING about authenticity. Refer her to the Salearea Guide I researched and wrote specifically about YKK zippers. And yes, I have plenty of photos of obviously fake Coach bags with zippers stamped YKK:
http://www.ebay.com/gds/Coach-and-the-YKK-Zipper-Myth-the-Basic-Facts-/10000000040073710/g.html
Below is just one, of a bag with a fake and too-short inside pocket zipper, fake serial number, and the word "marXings" on the creed spelled with an X. The zipper says YKK. And I have photos pf other fakes with "YKK" zippers if she wants to see more. She really needs to see these photos, I hope you can send her the link to this post:

The very accurate Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers Guides, Part 2 posted at Ebay mentions "K3H-" serial prefixes:
http://www.ebay.com/gds/Fake-Coach-Serial-Numbers-Part-2-/10000000179041909/g.html
The next 2 photos below are a fake NYLON TWILL "Mercer Backpack" with a K3H- serial prefix and a creed that describes the backpack as GLOVE-TANNED COWHIDE, a common mistake in fakes by third-world counterfeiting factories where the workers don't understand English..

Wow you're good. There's a lot more to it than a few things, as referenced in all the articles and all the studying you've all done. I didn't believe anything with the last quip about the zippers and leather, as a final attempt to get me to reconsider.

Sorry, found another one I'm interested in. Pretty sure it's authentic, just want to be sure:

Item: Coach Tote
Seller: MarisaPG123
Item Link: https://poshmark.com/listing/Vintage-Coach-Helens-Legacy-BUCKET-bag-58f942e1f09282726f02b35c
Item Number: N/A

Thank you!

It's definitely NOT a Helen's Legacy which would have had a 1994 or newer date code. The Made in NYC puts the date before 1988, so it's probably a Duffle Sac although the measurements especially across the bottom aren't the same as Coach's. But it looks genuine.

I would like to have a purse I purchased on eBay authenticated. The person stated it was 100% authentic. Item description: EUC 100% Authentic Coach Navy Blue/Silver Crossbody/Purse. She told me she purchased it at a Coach outlet 2 years ago in Howell MI. There are no Coach markings except a hang tag. It is 9-1/2" L x 7-1/2" H x 4-1/2" W (at the bottom). The handle drop is 4-1/2" with a long strap included. There is no Coach tag inside or serial number. It feels kind of plastic instead of leather. I told her I did not think it was authentic. Thank you!
