BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item

  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

If that facebook seller is in the Philippines, I can't recommend for many reasons.

We've seen many scary close fakes coming out of the Philippines.

None of the bags show enough pictures to authenticate any of them, every brand sold there is highly faked and pictures are absolutely necessary.

Additionally, as you posted below, you're looking to buy for resale so you'd darned well better get to know the products and brands.

The FB page showing pics of their shipping papers show that the seller is located in the Philippines, and I agree with BeenBurned that we will absolutely NOT recommend buying from sellers there especially when they deal in volume and can't prove their items are genuine.

AND HAVE YOU GIVEN ANY THOUGHT OR DONE ANY RESEARCH AS TO WHAT RECOURSE YOU HYAVE WHEN THOSE "DEALS" TURN OUT TO BE FAKE? HOW DO YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK FROM A BANK TRANSFER?

And since Louis Vuitton NEVER discounts their bags, how is this seller able to sell them at discounted prices?

Everything about that Facebook page screams "fraud". And "authentic quality" does NOT mean or guarantee that the items are authentic !!!

AND BTW, THE "COACH" SWINGPACKS SHOWN FARTHER DOWN THE PAGE ARE ALL FAKE, THE STRAPS ARE COMPLETELY WRONG AND ARE BADLY MADE CHEAP PLASTIC, NOT LEATHER. And there are other problems besides the straps.

Here's just one example of their cheap fakes, look at the strap. And there are at least 3 other BIG problems.

To add more red flags to these requests, I'll state that I suspect that both facebook sellers you've asked about here on Coach and on the Longchamp subforum appear to be the same person with the same 100% counterfeit items.

Authentic. The replacement strap is close. I believe the original would have had dogleash clips rather than lobster. The original strap was 48 inches long. This one might be slightly shorter. This seller generally knows her Coach. I think she is right in calling the color mahogany. They made many different variations of mahogany over the years, so the strap might also be mahogany but from a different run.

Thanks for your super quick response, and for clearing things up! I have a super dark version of Mahogany, so I was confused when I saw this one being called the same thing. I didn't know there was such a variance! Learning new things. :)

British tan also varies. Some years the mahogany was reddish, and other times had no red at all in it. That's one of the reasons it is so hard to identify the color of an item.

Thank you very much! Its a pretty color and vintage so I'm going to for it. I really want an original NYC bag but I keep getting outbid. Last time the bag I wanted sold for 92.00 +shipping, which is out of my budget this week. Sorry for the OT whine....:sad:
