Item: The seller is calling this a Carly, but I don't think that's correct.
Listing #: 262924228900
Seller: tseunlimited2015

I've followed Coach pretty closely for 10+ years, but this bag doesn't look familiar. Just wonder if it's the real deal?
Thanks!
Maybe it's a Carlyle?
It's not a Carly but "Carly," "Bonnie Cashin," "vintage" and other key words are often used and don't apply to the items they're attached to.

So far, I don't see any red flags but there's another picture that the seller should show. Inside the bag, probably inside the zipper pocket should be a white tag with the production information. (The first post of the thread tells the pictures that are needed in a listing with a note about bags made after 2014 that include creeds without serial numbers.)

Comment: looks ok to me but I think I was mistaken about D plant before so being cautious.
It's fake. Isn't the word "distinctive" misspelled? In 1997, the "made in" line wouldn't be at the bottom of the creed, and this looks like it says Italy when it should say US. There are problems with the cartouche at the top of the creed. I wonder if that is a real outlet stamp - like did the outlet accept a return of a fake?

Hello,

I bought this Coach bag at a Goodwill store on a whim as I saw the Coach brand. I have researched it and haven't found an exact match yet, hoping someone here can be of assistance. I'm not very good with this sort of thing.

I think the serial number is 0071 045. I've read that there should be a dash in between the sets of numbers so it's either not there or very faded.

Thanks for your assistance!

Thank you! I noticed the plant and location didn't match. But I don't know how the bullet mark was used but it has a line all the way across and that made me doubt it even more.

There was a post about 2.5 years ago on the ebay boards. It was a genuine "made in Italy" bag. There are a lot of differences between the bag in that post and the one being sold on Mercari by Brittany.

Don't EVER depend on dashes, sometimes they're not where they are "supposed" to be, just like other details that sometimes weren't done correctly. That doesn't mean it's a red flag or that something's fake. The Mini Belt Bag 9826 is from 1993 and it's genuine.

Hi all,
Can you please help me to authenticate this Coach bag?

Comments: there are 2 seller (iplaygamez419 and faast2014) with exact item (pictures and item description) made me wonder whether this is authentic or not.

Thank you

I haven't seen them before but that doesn't mean much.

I've never seen them either. They could have been a GWP though if so, I'm surprised we haven't seen them before.

I wouldn't buy.
LOL! I'm not sure how to interpret this but it could be a red flag!

After @whateve's post asking about the magnets that no one has ever seen, I recommended against buying them because at this time, they can't be authenticated.

I don't know whether the seller mishayto reads TPF, whether it's just a coincidence or if she's hiding something (yeah, I'm suspicious by nature) but she changed her ID TODAY to shoaya shortly after her listing was discussed.

Very strange.......

I agree that it's fake. The "outlet stamp DEFINITELY looks fake, the inside part isn't centered correctly and the outer circle doesn't look complete, it looks more like a tightly-closed C. The serial font is wrong, the Coach name in the logo is too big, and "dEstinctive" isn't in any dictionary I've been able to find,
