I am afraid you will have a tougher time than I did. My fake bag's serial number started with the letter P which makes it an obvious fake with an invalid serial number. (IIRC the first letter stands for the month it was made) I had to email them repeatedly with photos of hardware, where it was made in, any logo etc. I had given them links to eBay's guide to fake serial numbers, links to authentication from TPF and had me send the bag to them for them to inspect and decide if it was fake. They still insisted the bag was authentic and decided to refund me as a one time courtesy.

Your bag has what looks like a valid serial number to an inexperienced eye and I highly doubt PM authenticators know all the reasons that @whateve mentioned above that makes it a fake. I hate to be a pessimist but it's not looking good given my experience with them.
And this is why I wouldn't use nor recommend PM. JMHO.

Someone painted it. The bag is authentic but Coach's version was all blue. More opinions are welcome.
Not only painted it but did a lousy job doing so. And what's with that giraffe spotting?

@Tracynali - to clarify, just because a serial number "checks out" (your words) or seems to match the correct style of the bag doesn't necessarily mean that the bag is authentic. The counterfeiters do manage to put seemingly "correct" serial numbers on fakes although that's not the case with your bag.

its definatly not painted, design is not on top of patent, but part of patent, i really am stumped on this one

Yes it's painted. You can see the black spatters all over the trim.

If you like the bag as is, that's fine. It IS authentic.

But if you plan to list and sell it, be sure to disclose that the colors aren't original.

I think patent might absorb paint so it appears that it is underneath the top coating. I know when you get stains on patent, somehow they always get underneath the coating. I think the bag was heavily stained which is why it was painted. What are the red spots?

That's correct. That's why color transfer is such a problem on patent leather.
