Hello Hyacinth, BeenBurned and Whateve,
Is this Coach Worth bag listed on ebay fake? It has a M4N prefix and has SOLID BRASS stamp on hardware.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-4143-...950591?hash=item3d3341ba3f:g:pxcAAOSwjDZYeD~g

Without even looking at the listing - yes, it's fake. The N plant code would never have been used for any plant in December 1994, and for any Lightweights/Sohos and neither would real solid brass buckles because solid brass is NOT lightweight.

And I hope anyone reading this who still believes that YKK zippers prove a Coach is genuine takes a good close look at the zippers in this fake.

Another one? This one is really weird (at least to me). Elephant skin on front and serial H4B - 0516
(H4B - 0517 is always fake). Can't figure the other things out either, but I don't know, might be rare!
Won't bother you again, except for what I'll buy/bought, but looks like sellers are getting ready for the spring rush and bringing them out!
Forgot to copy the link! Here it is

Yup, you listed 0516 in your article too! I'll see about reporting it, but not sure how to do it (don't want any liability).

Just to qualify, those H4B- 05xx numbers are always fake for handbags. They can be valid if they're genuine items from Coach's Travel line:
