Did my post not come through on everyone else's end? Because I am seeing my post on this thread?? (Back up just a few posts)--Here is the link again..I can't get the pictures to attach separately, but they are on this link if you scroll down. Just want to make sure this is authentic. The creed is H1069-16359P. Wondering why there is a "P" at the end?

I'm really new to the Coach brand, and I have done a lot of research on this bag, but I still am not sure how to spot a copy. Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you

Also this one:
item: name not listed - black cross body bag

Seller: HalfPintLeather

And one final guy:

Seller: HalfPintLeather

It looks like a bit of a challenge, but I love that old patina ( one for the rescue forum, I guess. )
Thank you again!

1- There are just too many details that can indicate a specific bag is fake. A lot of them involve the creed and serial number stampings or the date codes and that's best left to the experts. There's a lot of good information in this thread, but you have to be extremely careful with other online sources of information. Except for the Salearea Guides at Ebay and maybe less than a dozen other guides, most online guides are useless or just plain dangerous.

The Willis is genuine but looks to be in rough shape. I'm wondering if those small black spots mentioned in the description might be mildew. Portland Oregon gets a LOT of rain, and only about half the homes have central A/C so humidity can be a problem. Bags from sellers in Japan that are from a similar coastal-type climate can have the same issues.

2- genuine Swinger, style 4040 from the Lightweight line and made around 1990

3- probably OK, but normally we can't authenticate bags unless the serial and creed stampings are clear and readable. Looks like it's from the late 1980s.

We suggest using extreme caution when buying from Etsy since they have a dismal track record for ignoring reports of fake items. There are a few infamous sellers there who regularly and KNOWINGLY mix real and fake and the fakes are never removed even when reported by other regular members.

Your first post didn't even show up for me until at east 20 minutes AFTER your second post. I answered the second one and asked if there was a previous post you were referring to because I couldn't find one even after reloading that forum page and the previous one several times (I deleted my answer after your first post showed up. These forums can get a bit wonky at times and it's always best to reload pages once or twice, and to make sure your question was actually posted.

The bag looks genuine and was made in 2010. I think it's one of the hundred or so Madison styles but don't have the exact name.

The "P" after the serial number means it was a Pilot bag which means Coach only made a small number as a "test run" to check buyers' reactions before committing to a full production run.

Item: British Tan Willis 9927
Seller: Goodwill, $6.99
Comments: It looked and felt genuine to me but the creed patch is different from the vintage Coach bags that I used to buy. My guess is that it is a newer Willis made in 2013 - if I am reading the serial number correctly. Please give me your opinion and thank you in advance for your assistance.
