Would one of you kind ladies please authenticate the following:

Brown and Tan pebbled bag
eBay listing # 322400136871
Seller: dcgoodfinds

It looks like a Sheridan Glenwood to me. Hyacinth authenticated and identified a bone and tan one for me a few days ago.
Thank you.
Authentic. It looks like a Glenwood but the seller didn't provide measurements. It could be a Mayfield if it is smaller.

Yes, it's a Glenwood, style 4225. Here's a comparison between the Mayfield 4224 and Glenwood 4225. The smooth leather band over the top of the smaller Mayfield looks wider in comparison, and on the larger Glenwood the smooth leather band that extends under the strap mounts actually wraps completely around the base, where the Mayfield doesn't have that extension.

Once again, thank you very much. You must have an amazing number of catalogues (and know how to access info in them). I have saved the photos for future reference.

I wrote a while ago, asking you about a 12 step program for Coach addicts. Well, my sister-in-law in Massachusetts is the initial recipient of all my US eBay mailings (I live in Canada and bring everything back after my visits ,using my duty free allowance) and sent me a photo of the Coach bags sent to her since December. The title to her email: an intervention may be in order!

Thank you and others on this thread and forum to be such wonderful enablers!

Everyone needs to find the kind of intervention or 12-step program that works for them. Personally I found that enforced retirement and a sharply decreased income was pretty effective, but not everyone can take advantage of those restrictions, or would want to! But it helps that Coach has turned away from making styles I really like in bags and keychains, so that's taken some of the pain out of it.

When you first start collecting, the hardest part is to keep reminding yourself that, in most cases, there will be a lot more of whatever style you're salivating over that will be available, even in classic and vintage, and sometimes patience is rewarded, Grasshopper. A twice-yearly closet clear-out is a good idea too.

The Hubby gives me free rein on the Big 3 holidays, Christmas, Birthday and Valentine's Day, to pick out something nice "within reason" of course, from either the online store or from Ebay, so that's kind of a Coach-themed "Treat Yo'self Day" a few times a year - or you can celebrate it just on October 13 if you want to maintain tradition.

Thank you Hyacinth. I am not at any risk of breaking the bank and dh is ok with my excesses. I am just a bit embarrassed!
I am not at all interested in the new Coach bags. I did look at the 1941 line at my local boutique but was sorely disappointed that they felt not nearly as lovely as the old bags. And I found the combinations of leather colours a bit too trendy for my conservative (old fashioned?) tastes.
And , frankly, the fun of hunting and gathering on eBay has been irresistible for a while. Was it St Augustine (before he became a saint) who prayed for being made good, but not yet?
But you are right. There will be more classic and vintage bags on eBay in the future.
