Hi all,
I purchased a vintage Coach satchel yesterday from a consignment store, paid approx 90 dollars (more details after the photos) :20170122_115924.jpg 20170122_120018.jpg 20170122_120043.jpg 20170122_120114.jpg 20170122_120130.jpg 20170122_120314.jpg 20170122_120204.jpg . Could it be Beekman model? I would like this bag to be authenticated as I could not find any info on its creed number. Apologies for the glare on the Coach creed photo. It read ' This is a Coach bag. It is made out of a completely natural glove tanned cowhide. The scars, scratches, veins and wrinkles are natural markings characteristic of full grain leathers'. Under it it read 'Made In The United States'. The creed number is C5C-2358. Measurement (HxLxW) is 12x14.5x3 inches.Afraid it might be a fake! Thank you for your help

Sorry, it's fake. The fonts used in the creed and serial number are wrong for that plant and year, the style number 2353 does not belong to any kind of bag or briefcase, it belongs ONLY to a small fabric Watermelon Coin Purse made around 2005, Coach's pic is below along with the Wayback Machine's Coach page capture from March 11, 2005 showing the main Accessories page and the item page showing the 2353 style number. The strap has a problem with the buckle, the padded area right above the turnlock looks crooked and lopsided, and the dowels on Coaches with that detail usually do NOT bend just from normal use.

Go right back to that store and get a full refund. They broke the law by selling counterfeit goods, whether in the US or in most European countries.. If they're honest they'll hand it right back to the consignor.

It's genuine. And many of the all-leather classic bags were sold at and sometimes even made for the outlets.

Can anyone please identify the authenticity of this bag please? Thank you.

The first is a watermelon satchel #9441. (Ignore pictures 4 and 5!) It was sometimes called a watermelon tote, but there was another watermelon tote that had an open top. The seller's measurements might be slightly off. She was probably measuring the briefcase shown in pictures 4 and 5. Coach says it is 13 inches long, not 15.5, and mine seems to be nearly 14 inches. There are early versions of this style that were made during the Bonnie Cashin era, so it is likely a Bonnie Cashin design, but it was made after she left Coach, probably in the late 70s or early 80s. It appears to be in fantastic condition.

Thanks whateve and Hyacinth. I wrote the seller about the additional incorrect photos and also she stated she put a coat of Angelus leather paint to match original color. I think that is why it looks to be in fantastic condition.

I'm sorry but that listing can't be authenticated from those pictures. Several of the pictures in bags2impress 's listing are stolen from Coach's website and the others aren't adequate for authentication.

Post #1 describes what we need to see in order to authenticate. The bag in question is a newer one made since 2014 when Coach stopped putting serial/style numbers on creeds so this part of the first post is particularly important:
Since mid-2014, Coach stopped putting serial numbers on creeds so in newer bags where the creeds don't have serial numbers, we also need to see pictures of the labels/tags from inside the bag. They are either both in the main open part sewn into the seam of the lining, or one might be buried deep inside the zipper pocket. One shows where made and the other has a serial number.
