Please follow the following requests:

Thanks whateve and Hyacinth. I wrote the seller about the additional incorrect photos and also she stated she put a coat of Angelus leather paint to match original color. I think that is why it looks to be in fantastic condition.

Oh, that's a shame! What a way to destroy a vintage bag.

I'm curious about this one. The cartouche looks off and although the stamping looks level at the top of the creed, it looks crooked at the bottom. I don't know if this is a legitimate case of the month and year being transposed or not.

Your note on the ident number has piqued my curiosity and I trust you'll not mind my queries. Are you suggesting that it may be an error and was intended to be "B21"? If so, was there ever a "1" plant? Also, even though removables should never be used to authenticate the bag itself, did you note the severe slant to the "COACH" on the hang tag? I look forward to seeing how this discussion develops.

I thought the whole creed looked odd, from the cartouche to the prefix to the seemingly thick font in the style number to the appearance of misalignment of the serial number vs. the bottom of the pocket, etc.

I didn't even notice the hang tag!

A transposition seems highly unlikely. This style was only made in 1997-1998 as far as I know. The creed has tons of problems, including wording they stopped using before 1996. The font and the long underline aren't something we see from authentic plants. The second line of stitching is too far from the top. The belt holes aren't round. The tabs on the sides are too loose. There aren't any keepers on the strap. I'm confident it is fake.
