Item: COACH Campbell Leather Small Convertible Hobo #24687 Mahogany
Listing number: 162351302076
Seller: hmgallagher
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/162351302076?ul_noapp=true

Comments: Please help authenticate. The buyer thinks the bag is fake due to it's "Campbell" leather. They think it is not leather. I'm not sure if I'm going to bother selling the Coach Campbell line if people are not familiar with this type of leather. Too bad because I really like the way the leather is processed. I have been carrying one now for over a year, and it still looks new.

Thank you in advance.

It's authentic.

Actually, there are items I've looked at, considered and passed on because I'm concerned about problems.

And before I leave glowing feedback (as I did for the three fakes, bought before I discovered this forum) could you please check
http://www.ebay.com/itm/311771765531?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
It was also likely a too-good-to-be genuine price!

Do you know the name of this bag?

I don't know the name of the style but @whateve and @Hyacinth will probably know.

I want to point out that although the bag you bought from brettunsmills is authentic, she sold this fake which had the seller done minimal research, she'd have known it was fake.

It looks like a Town Bag Large, style 4095 from the Lightweight line and made in the late 1980s.
Would you please remind me when the Lightweight line was first introduced? I seem to recall that the first styles were issued in 1987 as part of Sara Lee's initial efforts to expand the brand, but I could be mistaken and do not have the digital collection of catalogs to refer to.

Thank you.

I believe it was 1987. I have this catalog page from Holiday4000_Lightweight-Line Intro Holiday 1987.jpg 1987 that mentions its recent introduction.
