Please follow the following requests:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item

  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Comments: When did Chesters first appear - I am thinking the 000 means it's an early numbered bag? Those zeroes gave me pause!

Coach did NOT issue their all-number serial numbers in sequence. If you look through the Vintage Coach Photos and Chat thread at the Coach Clubhouse or the Vintage thread in the Coach Reference Library you'll see bags from the 1980s with serial number sequences that seem to have been completely random and in no order I've ever been able to find. The numbers don't indicate when a bag would have been made other than the 3+4 or 4+3 arrangement, and even that had exceptions. In fact this particular bag is once of them, since a handful of bags made well into the early 1990s still used the old 3+4 format. It's a genuine Chester, style 9901 probably from early 1992 which is when it was probably introduced.

I THINK the pebbled tan one is ok, but it's not in my catalogs or photo files. The Coach stamp isn't clear and there aren't any other identifying details so I can't say for sure.

The Madison Regis is OK, I checked it over before I bid. So you're the one who outbid me? :coolio: :lol:

Hope someone could authenticate this. The seller offers money back guarantee. I have 24 hours left. As much as I love the bag, if it turns out fake, I think I may need to send it back..
