Could someone please authenticate this Coach orphan?
My sister bought it at a local yard sale and I was a bit suspicious...til I found a bunch of them online hanging on Riley plaid tote bags. Shame it was separated from it's tote
Approx. 9.25"w x 6"h x 1"d. Strap 8.25" as shown.
I was suspicious of all the hardware having Coach imprints, yet nothing on the zipper...LOL! And I was a little leery of no "Made In..." tag inside.
Thanks in advance!

I've never seen it before, please hang in there for the others to take a look.
I've never seen it either but I don't see anything that indicates it's not authentic. Is there a made in tag inside?

Vintage Rare Coach Distressed Whiskey Leather Bifold Wallet
Logo on exterior and interior? Wonky flap inside or maybe stretched that way?

Fake. It's a generic wallet that someone put a fake Coach stamp on. The font used in the Coach stamp is completely wrong and the stamps are in the wrong places, the construction on the inside of the wallet is a mess. Look at the pic showing both sides of the interior, the edges of the different sections especially on the right side aren't even CLOSE to lining up evenly. the leather zipper pull isn't a Coach style, and I don't ever remember any Coach wallet with a zipped inside pocket like that. The style isn't anything Coach has made in the last 20 years and it would have to fit into that timeframe to have some of the features it has.

The more I look at it, the more it becomes obvious what a real POS it is. I wouldn't pay 5 dollars for that cwap if it was in the Reduced bin at TJ Maxx or Savers. It just looks BAD.

Report away!
For the record, i can't recommend bluelagoon808 . When I saw that the seller had recently changed her ID, I did a search of the previous ID and found that she'd had more than one fake on the Dooney Hall of Shame. (Her previous ID as well as store name is bev5349.)

and my own records show several fakes from 2014.

And she sold this fake recently. The picture is the creed from that POS:

It's an authentic Hamptons ocelot clutch from 2010. It retailed for $328. It is made out of haircalf. I've never seen one. I think it is pretty rare. One site says it was a limited edition of 300.
Oh wow! I really do love it, and it's so darn soft. I live in a rainy area and don't want to ruin it. Possibly going selling it. Thank you for the information, I appreciate it.

Thanks Hyacinth...just a little impatient :)
Thanks BeenBurned...no there is no "made in" tag, but as I found several online (on ebay and google) attached to Riley plaid totes (F55447), it gave me hope that it is authentic. And maybe because it is an "accessory" to another bag, it was ok to not have an origin tag. It's certainly well made, quality materials, stitching, etc. Fingers crossed.

Hello, I recently purchased a bag from Goodwill.com that I believe is an authentic 1980s Coach Rambler. Can anyone confirm this? It's a beautiful burgundy color.

Thanks in advance! Love this site and got advice here to rehab this bag...still needs maybe one more round of conditioning.

I've seen a few of the newer bags that have the creed stamped on a removable pouch. It makes sense that they would have done it for the Riley totes because they are reversible.
There are quite a few styles with these pouches:

It's authentic. It's not a Rambler. It's a spectator bag #9795 if there is no pocket under the flap from around 1987. I think I see a pocket. If there is one it is #9796 from around 1989. Please remember to include measurements for IDing bags with unique serial numbers. Here is a picture comparing the two styles.

Thank you! I had so many drafts of this post, I must have accidentally deleted the measurements -- it's about 8x11. And yes, there is a front pocket, so it must be #9796. Appreciate your time and the information.
