For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller and site where listed
    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

A seller who lists and sells as many Coach items as COACHCROSSING does should know the importance of SHOWING a full and legible picture of the creed in her listings. Clearly, she knows the creeds and serial numbers are important because in a number of listings, she describes the serial number though often not showing it.

The listing in question has inadequate pictures, particularly since it doesn't show the creed.

That said, I looked at her other listings and I question this one which does show the serial number though I can't read the text on the creed too well. The font doesn't appear correct for 1999 and the N plant. (perhaps showing this creed was a mistake!)

I can't read it either but I'm pretty sure it says the United States, not Mexico, like it should.

Hello everyone! Could someone please authenticate these bags for me? Four total and all in my possession from recent adventures in GW shopping.

First one I'm not sure of the name but may be a Kit Bag? A6C-9973 (Also found listings calling it a Camera Bag)
Second one may be called a Hippie Flap? M9C-9135

Here;s a genuine creed and serial from the exact month the questionable tan bag was supposedly made, and it also has an outlet stamp. There's no question that the fonts aren't the same. Style 9063 was faked a LOT and this looks like one of the fakes.

The Kit Bag and the Small Hippie Flap both look ok.

Erred and bid on desire (and won) before authenticating. After the fact research leads me to believe it's fake.
Hanging head in shame awaiting your verdict.
On a side note does anyone know how GW is about returns?
Yes, it is fake. If you haven't paid already, don't. Contact them and tell them you want to cancel the sale due to authenticity. Goodwill has a corporate wide policy of not selling fakes, but the individual stores don't always follow this policy.

If you have already paid, I would still try to get them to cancel the sale and refund before shipping. There is a return policy posted at the bottom of the listing. As a last resort, if you have already paid and can't get a refund from Goodwill, contact your credit card company.
