Comments: Creed font looks wrong; long underscore on the "o" in "No"; font and spacing of serial number; back of turn lock plate has indents.
It's fake.

Compare the creed on igotadeal4you's fake to this authentic one from what would be the same month/year/plant:

The following is genuine.

I can't read the creeds. (I'm not sure whether the pics are supposed to enlarge but I can't get them to work.) But if the first one is copied correctly, the bag is fake. For the other, the creed needs to be legible.
Thank you! I suspected at least one fake. This person has a white bag listed which is definitely fake with a Creed that starts with NT.

I was able to enlarge the creed photos using a right-click. The serial number in the black one is actually M4N-4154 which is on both Fakes Lists. 4154 is a Soho sequence but never seems to have been used in a genuine bag of any kind and is always fake.

From Part 2 of Daria48's Guide:
"M4N-4154 - Update:

Enough evidence has been found to say that the above serial number is ALWAYS FAKE, no exceptions. Not only was the N plant in the US apparently opened only for a very brief time if it was ever opened here at all, but it had apparently closed long before the end of 1994 (the fake date code is for December 1994). No genuine Coach handbag has ever been found with that 4154 style number. And every bag we've found that number in not only has serious production mistakes and date irregularities and are never the same styles, but so far the creed seems to always have "SCRTCHES" misspelled."

@Hyacinth I've reported the white bag several times. Mercari won't do anything about it.

You may want to write to the site owners that since they refuse to remove fakes when reported by users and confirmed at a major handbag site by TWO of its qualified authenticators, you can't trust them to prevent buyers from being cheated and will do your shopping somewhere else from now on. And then DO IT. You might also send them the link to Daria48's 2 Fake Coach Number Guides at Ebay, although I'm sure they won't bother reading them.

Thank you. It did enlarge by right-clicking! (I never knew that!)

I'm not questioning the authenticity of the bag on Mercari (which seems to be like ioffer, listia, poshmark and other sites that don't care about protecting members) but for the record, that "N" plant code is another pesky one that has gotten around!

This post shows authentic US N bags from March and May, 1994, Chinese-made from 2005 and in a previous post #13366,
the Mexican plant was used from 1998-2000. So apparently, was opened for a short while.

Item: Coach Weston tote
Seller: Etsy--COACHCROSSING

Comments: Please authenticate this bag for me. It is such an unusual, funky, cool bag and I want it! Lol
Thank you
A seller who lists and sells as many Coach items as COACHCROSSING does should know the importance of SHOWING a full and legible picture of the creed in her listings. Clearly, she knows the creeds and serial numbers are important because in a number of listings, she describes the serial number though often not showing it.

The listing in question has inadequate pictures, particularly since it doesn't show the creed.

That said, I looked at her other listings and I question this one which does show the serial number though I can't read the text on the creed too well. The font doesn't appear correct for 1999 and the N plant. (perhaps showing this creed was a mistake!)
