• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock

Hi what's the difference between style 5130 & 9927? They both come up as Willis on ebay. Is one style fake?

5130 is a Station Bag. 9927 is a Willis. Both styles have been faked, and are often mis-identified by sellers.

Most likely they are fake because Coach never used hardware like that. However, there is small possibility that someone replaced the hardware on an authentic bag with another brand of hardware.

By the way, it isn't true for the square shaped turnlocks that Coach uses. Those do have the depressions on the back.

Bummer. I was looking at the Belmont style on ebay and like the style but they all seem to have that hardware. [emoji20]

To add to Catbird9's information. Generally the Willis, 9927, is more popular because it is bigger. Sellers often call them both Willis to help them sell it. The Willis has the dowel and the station bag doesn't. Willis also has a back pocket.

The hardware looks fine. The problem with the turnlock picture you posted is the indentations under those 4 triangular tab pieces. The turnlock of the bag in the listing has a smooth back with no indentations.

The prongs are fine. They all have prongs. They shouldn't have indentations under the prongs; it should just be flat. It is hard to describe in words.

Gotcha! I'm in love with the Belmont style. I'm on a shopping ban for now. But I'm definitely looking to buy one of those next month.
