I'm seeing them now. The bag is fake.

That thick font is never seen on an authentic creed. The bag style was introduced around in Fall 1999, so the year code is way too early. The S plant code wasn't used for the US.

ETA: The guide should say always fake for this number.

I'm not sure which Guide you're referring to. How many did you check?

Please keep in mind that the Fake Numbers Guides usually only list numbers that have come up in more than 2 or 3 examples, and even then we can't find or list them all. We can't list every single fake number ever used, the Guide would be 5 pages long if we did. (When I say "we" I'm referring to myself and Daria48 since we're still working together on the Fake Numbers Guides). Neither of us ever intended or claimed that every fake numjber ever used would be listed in the Guides, that's where researching things like plant and year codes becomes important. It's also important to do a full Search of the entire tPF Coach forum for the style number of amy questionable bag or other item, often ( as in this case, try Searching for " 9135 " under Coach) the information has already been posted. There are already quite a few posts here that give the correct date when that style was first made.

And checking the Daria48 list at Ebay, that number is already listed as "Always Fake"

http://www.ebay.com/gds/Fake-Coach-Serial-Numbers-NT-4903-and-more-/10000000002744619/g.html

"H6S-9135 - always fake, same reasons as M4S-7414"

My own most recent Fakes List here at tPF and posted in 2014 is a copy of Daria's and shows the same information under "always fake"

A little more digging would have given you the answer. All the current Guides seem to have the serial number listed as Always Fake. That's why I'm wondering which Guide you mean.

ETA - a word about the fake bag's details - look at the buckle holes on the strap, several of them are punched off-center. And the "YKK" zipper is very likely fake - why would there be a "stop" that's at least half an inch from the left end of the zipper?

I think you meant to quote @ekhfashions

Yes, I did - sorry! I don't know if it was me or the forum, but the question was definitely meant for ekhfashions. Once I get going, I can't shut up. :-s
I have a document in my files that started with Daria's list. I've added to it every time something applicable is posted here or in the Authenticity Questions. I have that same quote "H6S-9135 - always fake, same reasons as M4S-7414" in my files, but since I've merged everything I know into one document, I can't credit where I originally got the information.

It's pretty much the same information on both lists. We decided years ago that it didn't make sense to keep 2 separate lists, so we merged them and share any new information that we find. If it helps, Daria48's list goes back about 9 or 10 years, I think the first one of hers that I copied from the old Ebay forum was around 2007. You can credit either one of us, we don't mind. Unless serious money is involved, of course! :graucho:

Hihi,

Can someone please help authenticate the following Items:
Item: Coach corner zip wristlet F53429
Bought online from a seller that claims they sell only 100% authentic items. But I feel it is not authentic as F53429 was supposed to come with a removable dog leash strap(which was shown in the listing) but what I received is a fixed strap version.

Item: Coach Slim Envelope Wallet with pouch F52628
Purchased from the same seller. Coin zip inside wallet used is 'Ideal', not 'ykk', gold print 'New York' on pouch is barely noticeable. Both item's price tag has the same production/manufacture code(?) 225271JAX. Is that even possible?

Can you post the name of the seller and a link to the online listings?
I'm not seeing any F53429s with removable straps. I've seen cases where Coach changes the specs and keeps the same style number for different production runs, so it is possible they did make a version with a removable strap. If the seller claimed it was removable and it isn't, you can open a SNAD claim.

Zipper manufacturer makes no difference; Coach has used many different brands. I don't know what the number that ends in JAX. It isn't something we use to authenticate. The style numbers on the price tags are correct.

I'm not seeing any problems with either item.
